Pouliot is going to have a big year.

I am wondering if Benning pulls the trigger on Loui?

I hope so

Ferklund.

Also a good comparable. He did well playing with Sean and Jonny. See how he does in Carolina this season.

I was just using an example of a player who doesn't belong in a top 6 but is there because he is physical.
- manvanfan

Many players don’t belong in a top 6 by ppls definition. Ask Babcock about a 3rd wheels importance. Duos are sought to make a top line go & the 3rd wheel makes it lethal.

Allstar lines are rare

My guess is not well, but that is more of a statement about Gaudreau and Monahan.

He’s a 3rd wheel same as LE. The linemates make him tick.

Tanev is worth more to us as a mentor than a late first.
Baertschi and Connor Brown are essentially the same thing.

I'd prefer if the 3rd wheel was still more of a Burrows type.

3 decades and it's still the same. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Did Aquilini tweet that?

You're going to have Mini's book filled up by training camp.

Fair enough

I think Brown is an upgrade
Tanev to mentor aka hold down the fort is good. A late 1st is the highest he would currently fetch.

Ppl get hung up on line #’s
Who plays when aka deployed is the coach's call. TOI is determined by TG. Ops deploy lines for match ups further deciding the issue.

On the topic of lines...

Can we discuss TOI on who we know will play? I’ll guesstimate my own.

Sven Bo BB 20mins
??? Sutter LE 15-18mins
Gaunce Beagle Roussel 12mins
The last line the rest whomever they are
I’m assuming Bo gets a ton of o zone starts

Just a guide that can change at any time

Benning's draft strategy - draft 3rd wheels.

Brown has put up less points with better linemates and better PP time.

I thought you were all about deployments?

Tanev should be able to fetch late 1st plus decent prospect.

Why i think JV AG EP is worth a shot...

AG plays a 200’ game
JV speed & north south
EP shifty & a playmaker

AG can finish
JV a lethal shot if he uses it more
EP can shoot or pass making him dangerous & ops keys on him. When they do ice opens up. He drives the play & AG & JV spin off of that. JV also helps on the back check very well to go along with AG. Solid D helps them get TOI. Takes the heat off of Bo’s line. Off the rush EP can use JV & AG is good all over the ice. He has to learn how to fit in still but he strives to get better. Lots of factors could make that line tons of fun.

- Nighthawk

I think I'll like that line...in 2019-2020.

No one is debating that.....even with this explanation your response to my original comment still doesn't make any sense.

20+15-18+12=47-50. So Pettersson, Virtanen going to play 10-13 minutes a game? That would be epic bad.

EP playing with Sutter just doesn't make sense if you are going to use Sutter as the shutdown center.
