Thanks Carol! Pretty sure gagner is our 2nd line center to start the year. Sutter 3 and beagle 4.

Happy Quinn is headed back with a bit of a swagger about what he wants to do at Michigan. I’ll be watching a few wolverines games this year!

I think that ship has sailed. Even though you don't like Sutter I think he would be good for the job of easing in Pettersson. Keep in mind it is a temporary fit and when EP gets big and strong enough to win the face offs and play all ends of the ice you can then trade Sutter his job is done.

Dahlen Sutter and EP is what I would like to see and I think Sutter is the only Canuck at this moment that can pull it off.

One of either Halford or Brough were saying they got the impression from Green that a 2nd line of Baertschi/Granlund with Sutter and Virtanen is what is penciled in right now.

I think we better get used to the idea Gagner Pettersson will be a duo at least to start.

Edit. It was Roussel Sutter Virtanen that he said was penciled in.

I think Bo Brock Baertchi Sutter are your primary point producers . I think EP will get a decent amount for his rookie year .

I am not expecting much from D points wise . I am looking at this as a transition year but I still think the team is a bit better than last

Nice writeup on gaudette I just read, the guy is having a great off season and what if he is ready do you slot him with jake and EP?

JB should try to acquire an unprotected first round pick, increase your odds.
- VanHockeyGuy

Nobody would argue that.
Now who/what is dealt to do that?

I would roll the dice on Reinhart. We do know JB likes him.

The original comment was they will be faster . Every one of those players are faster than Dowd Henrik and Daniel . That is all I said nothing more.
- VANTEL

Same.

I agree on the line deployment guess.
Also happy that Quinn is returning to Uni. He will make the club next year. Much better fit.

Yes. He already impressed TG being he plays a smart game. Offense will come. 3rd line minutes & more when playing well.

Hard no.
He never has been and I don't see him suddenly being that guy. He's a good defensive centre where offense goes to die. I don't think Baertchi would be top 6 on most playoff teams.
I'm hoping Dahlen and/or Pettersson surprise us. Throw Gaudette in there too.

But you also wrote Dahlen Sutter EP...

I think the Roussel Sutter Virtanen line suits their playing styles better.

I’d say so.

I’d try something along the lines of Baer-Gagner-EP for a 2nd line.

Obviously Not stoked on Gagner there.
But I’m not sold on Gaudette yet.
Would be thrilled if he could slot in there, but I’d guess he needs some time in Utica.
Eriksson -Gaudette-EP would be sweet if possible

I expect Sutter's line will get the 2nd most minutes and Beagles the third most minutes....

Everyone has different definitions of lines.

Baertschi was the one signing I didn't like this year but as Lefty said you deal the cards your dealt..

Sutter is currently about a 35 pt guy if healthy . I think he could easily increase by 10 more points with better favorable starts and more ice time

I think Jake will also jump from a 20 pt guy to 30 -40

I am hoping also for the two young Swedes .

One was what I wanted the other was what I thought would happen.

I also got roasted for having Roussel on the second line

I think Gaudette needs some time in Utica.

Have to find a winger that is okay on faceoffs to play with EP, if EP plays centre. I don't think we have that winger, so expecting Sutter to start some of EP's shifts and switch after the faceoff.

Lines will be in a blender for a little while. TG has to see where the chemistry is.

Expecting lots of losses but looking forward to the changes in the lineup.
