Not sure if this has been discussed but did anyone see Lucic's comment on DeRozan?
"He's being like a little bitter - bloatedmosquito[expletive] at the organization for trading him for Kawhi Leonard…. You didn't get traded to frickin' Cleveland. You got traded to San Antonio, a team that competes for a title every year. You get to be coached by the Bill Belichick of basketball with Gregg Popovich. You feel like you're being disrespected? Come on man, you're still making $30 million a year living in San Antonio with no state tax. Give me a break, man. Nobody feels bad for you. [Expletive] off."
I think Milan's going a little cuckoo.
????? Cuckoo for teling the truth - DeRozens been acting like a whiny b*tch, this actually makes me Lucic (a fraction of a %) |

He (Benning) tanked the team in his second year, purposely, so for the 2016 draft, finished third last. But he trades away his 2nd & 4th round picks for Gudbranson, he trades away the extra 2nd round pick for Sutter, he acquired from trading Bieksa, and he trades his 3rd round pick for Pedan.
That's why he's an idiot!!! - LeftCoaster
hey now! he got that 3rd back in the Sutter deal |

But when the owner references 'look at what Colorado, New Jersey & Vegas did last season' that screams why can't the Canucks do that this season.
I am more and more glad that Hughes is away from this sh*t show. Anyway, at least they have a 4th line locked down for the next 4 years. - Marwood
Yes, a 4th line Times 4 years....hmm, that sounds familiar. But from where?

So you are saying I can add Lind, Woo, Dahlen, Gaudette to the "core" list? They all show promise too. That's 9 core players Van's going to have.
That's what you are saying, 2nd round picks, anyone who shows promise is allowed to included in the new core because Van drafted them. - manvanfan
I'm saying that adding two 2nd round picks from the 2016 draft would've potentially went a long ways to having a better prospect pool....short and easy, that simple.
I'm bringing up the past because I got into a conversation with Vantel on why I continually harp on Benning, above is one of the reasons. That's the only thing I was trying to convey before you jumped in. |

Belcher was saying yesterday he read Roussel would be playing with Sutter and Jake with the second top minutes according to Green , and Beagle might end up third line.
I think anyone expecting Beagle to be here in 4 years might be in for a surprise |

What you are missing is he has built one of the best prospect pools already . Me personally I couldn't care if we have 15 prospects instead of 17 because probably only the top 6 or 7 will ever see NHL ice |

What Lefty is saying is that those 2nd round picks would be in the NHL someday. So Van could have 8-9 potential NHL players in the system right now. |

Will Canucks fans lose their collective minds if both Gaudette and Pettersson start the year in Utica? I wouldn't put it past JB, but with the contract situation the way it is (waivers etc.), it seems likely to me:
Utica
Dahlen Pettersson Jasek
Lind Gaudette Gadjovich
Boucher Macewen Palmu
Archibald Kero Carcone
Vancouver
Baertschi Horvat Boeser
Goldobin Sutter Gagner
Eriksson Beagle Virtanen
Roussel Schaller Granlund
Leipsic Gaunce
(Edited for the regrettable mistake of omitting the bane of every Canuck fan's existence.)
Line combos aside, or moving guys up and down the line up, I don't see this as being such a terrible idea. Pettersson gets to play alongside his peers on a smaller ice surface without facing the pressure of being the next saviour. Gaudette will get all of the special teams minutes (similar to Bo's). Hopefully it would prove to be a great AHL team.
The big club doesn't need to commit anybody to waivers, and spends one last year in (not-so) stealth-tank-mode? - alcatrazhockey
Beagle’s a 4C, always has been. Can’t see Sutter in a top6 role, doesn’t create offense and it has already been attempted |

I got ripped the other day because I put Palmu ahead of him. Who has speed and skill.
Gadjovich has to improve his speed. He's probably that 3rd wheel that was discussed early in the blog. A big body to play in the corners and pick up garbage infront of the net. If he turned into a 35 point middle 6 player, I would be happy. |

Palmu is also two years older...let’s see what strides Gadj can make during that time. I still rank Gadj higher and it’s not close due to his ceiling |
