I’m not sure it’s fair to label Bennett as a lost cause on the PP. Hw really only got to see time on the power play when the team was ice cold and in need of a shake-up.
I’d much rather see Bennett out there than Brouwer.
I hope we don’t trade him. He could breakout now that he should finally have some quality lines mates on a consistent basis. |

I really feel the only direction for this kid is up. The only question is how much? Likely his rookie season was near ceiling, but time will tell. |

Hope he gets all the chances to succeed this year. As Todd wrote, he had a lot of chances, just needs to start burying them. |

at this point i'd just be happy with a consistent 40pt 3rd liner who can play in the top 6/PP/PK if needed. |

And play the same way in the playoffs as he has in the last two series’.
Nothing wrong with Bennett signed to 2.5x3 and turning into an impact player every post-season. |

Pretty great interview with Peters this morning on SN960. He mentioned some good-to-know points like Lindholm starting with JG/SM and Neal starting with MT/MB in preseason and some player expectations/profiles.

I for one am happy he's spreading the scoring wealth |

I'm just glad we are putting a sniper with Tkachuk. Outside of Johnny, I think Tkachuk is the best playmaker on the team. If he and Neal click, I could see that line putting up some good numbers |

Those have been my dream top forward lines since we signed Neal. Best forward depth (on paper) I’ve seen in a decade |

Still too many question marks.
Can Brodie rebound? Can Smith play a whole season? Will the 2nd airing be any better? Can the coach win? Cam J@nko and Bennett produce?
On paper the team looks better, but a lot has to go right. |

Todd Cordell: There were positives in Sam Bennett's disappointing 2017-18 campaign - ToddCordellCGY
I like Bennet. He probably will go down as an underachiever because of his draft position. Like, nobody would have drafted Darcy Tucker that high but every team in the league could make room for him on their roster. Bennett will probably have a long career as a depth energy guy and there’s nothing wrong with that. He is what he is. |

$3.35 mil/2 years for Janko, seems a little high. This 4 goals last game of the year must have helped. |
