Hall for Larson is an instant fire-able offense imo.
All you had to do was watch that Seguin trade video and see he is just winging it and has no idea how to value players properly. Or how to employ people to tell you no, dont be stupid (and listen to them)..but he had a bunch of yes men in the room
also great is how Montreal fired their stat guy because he said dont trade Subban for Weber |

Assuming Tavares is signed somewhere else, would anyone of you take Staal out of Minnesota for like Bracco and rights to Bozak? (He'd probably get more than that but bare with me here) |

Leafs players are franking soft. No motivation to win. Just put forth 70 per cent effort and enjoy the good life.
Frank that.
It's about time we motivated them properly:

Was reading the article on Sportsnet ranking the Leafs GMs and when I came across Gord Stellick and the 1989 draft, it really is amazing what the difference can be if your scouting is on point.
The Leafs had three 1st round picks and they took 3 players from the Belleville Bulls, Scott Thornton 3rd overall, Rob Pearson 12th overall and Steve Bancroft 21st overall.
Mats Sundin went 1st overall, Bill Guerin went 4th overall, Bobby Holik went 10th overall, Olaf Kolzig went 19th overall, Adam Foote went 22nd overall.
In the 3rd round, the Leafs had no pick. Lidstrom went 53rd.
In the 4th round, the Leafs picked Matt Martin 66th. Fedorov went 74th.
In the 6th round, the Leafs picked Dave Burke 108th. Bure went 113th.
In the 11th round, the Leafs picked Mike Jackson 213th. Konstantinov went 221st.
The Leafs struck out on almost every single pick they made while the Red Wings got two of the greatest players of their generation.
The Stanley Cup is truly won on draft day. |
