If this Nashville trading Subban rumour is true, what do you give up for him?
I’m thinking Nylander and a first is a pretty good starting point... but at 29, it’s the kinda move that opens the window quite a bit, but closes it faster. |

I support Babschlong and most of his philosophical methods pertaining to conventional hockey, HOWEVER what's the harm in putting Matthews and Marner together for a contained period of time?
I think after they develop a little chemistry, they would be the BEST line in hockey.
Why not experiment and give the boys a shot together. Babcock needs to be a tad more open minded. |

Poile and Laviolette seemed to shut that rumor down. But if Freidman is saying that he was shopped two years ago?? That was when they just got him. Before he even played for them he was shopping him?? Doesn't make a lick of sense. |

Nylander would be a no for me. I'd offer Zaitsev or Gardiner along with a prospect like Bracco, Sparks and #25 pick |

Zaitsev is negative value. Lol or course you’d offer him. They would laugh at that deal |

As much as I'd like Subban, I don't think we can afford him. Maybe add Connor Brown into the deal. |

We couldn't afford him. Plus do we really need a $9M defenseman? |

Subban would be a great addition, but yeah the timing wouldn't be right. I feel like Duba-han would want to sign the core to their deals before trying to navigate another huge contract into the roster. |

I think the only way Subban gets moved is if Nashville gets desperate. If desperate, maybe they take a lesser deal. I don't think they'll deal him. |

It’s okay Babs. Once the Leafs sign Tavares you’ll be putting Matthews and Marner together.

Trading Nylander for a RHD makes sense if that RHD is 25 or under. Acquiring Subban for that price doesn't make sense. |

But that Johnsson-Kadri-Nylander line looked great in their 2 games together. |

What does ticket price fatigue mean? Asking for a friend..
Brian Burke said he made the Kessel trade because of ticket price fatigue. |

Depends on Tavares, probably their 1st choice.
A subban trade would be something, I couldn't even begin to think about what it would cost. It makes sense that they would think about it, it'll be tough once they have to sign both Josi and Ellis in 2-3 years.
Just wondering, they probably would love Gardiner as a one year rental to go for a cup. That adds a lot of value. After that I'm not sure what they would want. Obviously needs a lot more. |

I'd scrap Moore and Leivo and make it Aaltonen and Grundstrom. |
