The Nino for California trade was bad. But the clutter extension was way worse. That contract is effecting this team for years to come. |

If Isles do not beat Calgary tomorrow this losing streak could reach epic numbers given who the Isles play their next four games. |

Agreed. For Nino they should have thrown in South Dakota at a minimum. |

We can only hope. I hope they are embarrassing loses. It will be even better if Weight completely loses it in the post game and gets canned. |

Maybe a 3rd round pick too, or maybe the RFA rights to Puerto Rico |

Depending on the Avocado crop, that alone would cost you a 2nd. |

Meh, this is a contest about Garth madness. Garth was barely on the job when former majority owner Charles Wang came up with the idea for that 15-year contract for DP. Garth has made enough dumb decisions by himself that I would give the nod to one of those over a decision by The Committee. |

Even if we could afford him, I don’t think he’d be the answer to our problems. I see him more as an offensive defensman....although I really don’t watch the Caps. Am I wrong about him ? |

Carlson likes to take risks, but he’s more defensively sound than Leddy. He’d be a wonderful addition, but also very expensive. Doubt the Islanders could afford both Carlson and JT without disposing of some serious cap. |

And are people seriously complaining about PA given the mediocre year he had anyways?
On a side note, how about fining Weight $10,000,000 everytime he says something dumb in a post-game? His idiocy is worse than Cappy, and I do not say that lightly. |

For me the Parenteau thing was directly connected to the three goalie debacle. If Garth didn't insist on keeping Berube so he could ruin his career, PA could have been kept. He certainly wouldn't have been Mike Bossy out there but he did have some chemistry previously with JT. Not to mention the whole thing just shined another light on Garth Snows absolute ineptitude. |

Unless the Isles had a new GM and coach, Carlson would probably not even consider the Isles. |

PA??? I was talking about DP's 15-year contract, not PA. Mishandling PA was small potatoes, compared to his mishandling of Nino.......or even Grabner. |

Dp was a Wang decision not Garth so it shouldn't count in this |

Just think how costly that DP contract was. Isles ended up losing Neil Smith and Patty because of that contract. |
