This should be a fun game to watch, the Avs went from one of the oldest teams to one of the younger ones and subsequently got faster and more entertaining.

I expect Jake to have a good game tonight, since he is the player we have been bashing a little bit in the previous blog.
Gaunce will score and go on a 4 game point streak.
Also, Canucks win 5-2

Pretty interested to see how Makar turns out since he was apparently pretty damn high on the Canucks draft board.

If the Canucks put the puck into the other teams net more than the other team puts it in their net, they've got a chance

Intelligent high-end skill, if he can translate that into the NHL he'll be a great pick.

The only players left ahead of him in all time single season U-20 scoring in Sweden are the Sedins/P.Forsberg/Nilsson.

He just passed Markus Naslund’s point total with that goal today.

He’s going to pass a couple more of them, might be able to match Peter Forsberg’s PPG production.

It was decent last year, but not this good. Crazy how it went from being a “meh” part of his game to a strength over the summer.

I still think he’s going to end up being on the skinnier side as a NHL’er, but that’s fine in today's game. Especially since it doesn’t seem to be hurting his wrist shot power

Kerrfoot has as many points as Hank . Ten more goals. Good thing he wasn't good enough for us

I’m sure the Canucks made on offer on him, or was it only Butcher?

He chose to play there. It was his decision. That said, maybe the Canucks should take note they don't have to rely on Henrik to produce, maybe they too can take a chance on a younger kid.

Meh who am I kidding, the Canucks don't roll like that

Another big part of building teams over the past few years is being able to get college and european free-agents, as well as junior free-agents to supplement the yearly draft.

He chose there because the team made him a better offer.

Forsberg spent three years in Sweden after being drafted by the Flyers, he had a pretty awesome career, I don't wanna rush that kid but hopefully he's ready sooner than later.

I don't know the particulars but at the end of the day I'm sure several factors played into his decision, money being only one of them. Young players generally seek opportunities, you only get that in Vancouver if you're a superstar

Isn’t there a limit to how much you can offer on an ELC? I doubt we’ll know if the Canucks offered as much in bonus money as the Avs.

Unless you mean they guaranteed him a spot on the roster.
