Yeah, but it’s way better to leak out news that you’re meeting with his agent to talk extension rather than sitting him out to trade him.
Other GM’s can smell blood. |

I've always said Vancouver has an inferiority complex, we really aren't that great of a sports town, any sort of success is always criticized because there's always that fear of the other shoe dropping. - DariusKnight
which is due to of being pitched this cr#p from decades of being exposed to the vancouver sports media.
I swear their articles and shows should come with a warning that "exposure may be hazardous to your ongoing mental health including but not limited to negatives outlooks and/or opinions or complexes concerning the vancouver canucks."
I think Carols more positive reporting is better for the team. I'd rather have her doing a daily column in the paper or radio show than ANY of these idiots. I'm sure ALL of us can agree she has better blogs than any other vancouver sports media person. |

I agree, if this is what's going on it is the way to play it. Trade from a position of strength. |

Yeah, they won’t get close to 2.5M
Engelland was signed.
I would love to get McNabb on a reasonable deal. Skates pretty well. Developed in the Kings system, can throw big hits, can make a good first pass out of the zone, decent defensively, decent hockey sense, and willing to fight. - Nucker101
Those were just examples of guys who provide similar skillsets at that price. They are not necessarily available this summer.
Agree with everything you said though. |

I am all in for trading with Islanders, Lightning or Blues, as they have what I feel might be the best returns, whether it be picks or prospects. - Reubenkincade

I would be super happy with an extra 2nd, an extra 3rd and a promising D prospect - 1970vintage
That could be for EG in a conditional deal with us getting tge 2nd for sure. |

Yeah I doubt the Habs are looking to get rid of picks and that franchise is in shambles. Realistically, I think the Islanders or Leafs need something like Guddy and have an extra 2nd rounder to part with. Cut our loss and move on. I don't think its the end of the world or Jims job tho. - Brooks_Light
I’m thinking the same 👍👍 |
