If he's told he's not getting signed and the contending team trading for him will extend a nice contract he'll take it.

Plus no one has ever tried to trade Edler so how do you know he won't waive if not wanted by Canucks?

Its not a lot, but its still something to work on to get to the NHL caliber. I think improvement there will enhance his overall play, and likely eliminate his lack of tenacity and assertiveness. His sluggish feet is probably why he plays a little more conservative, so as to not get burned

He has been pretty good in junior without having to try to hard. Maybe the work ethic catching up. Struggled to begin with in Liiga. Showing real improvement though.
