I just don’t see the issue...isn’t what is happening exactly what everyone wanted to happen? Finish low, be competitive, decent drafts, let the young guys play that push for spots....

Everyone complains when we don’t rebuild, then we start, and everyone complains. If you rush guys it fails. Look at Tyson jost even, has more point then boeser and was younger in uni - nhl is a different story.

We have Good young players looming and grooming. They can enter at the same time like marner, nylander, Mathews or over a few years.

I don’t get the hate for pres, gm. The full blow up and go young doesn’t work.

Even look at the iginla trade, they got poop, didn’t help the rebuild at all. Could have kept him and had a guy who loved the flames and bled the team show their young guys what it means.

My 2 cents

For the record, I like Benning and think he deserves another couple years to see this play out.

My complaint is just that, to me, all the inexperience doesn't give me confidence they are the guys to take the rebuild to the next level. Any incompetent person can tank a team, but I would like to see some continuity from the rebuild to the competitive stage. A regime change can very easily disrupt any progress IMO. You take what is here and hand it over to someone else and they might head in a completely different direction - Florida is an example of that to me. They were going in a good direction, changed the management and now are stuck in a retool

I there is anything to Ken Holland wanting to move on, any chance he like Swede Canada after building Swede USA for 20 years? Is he too old school?

Yup clean FO win and loses the foot race to the puck, been beat wide a couple times too. Skating is really my only concern with him, everything else he does seems good

Centre men doesn't tie up his man. Then centre men losses position in front of the net. OJ can't do everything.

Other goal it's a 2 on 2 and pass across is covered, the winger takes the guy at the side instead of the slot. Leaves OJ to cover 3rd man. Goalie should of had that one too. Was Marky style.

I hope they have learned something from McCann and JV

tough decisions for JB when it comes to getting the roster set for next year. leave room?

I used to like the notion about prospects making the club out of camp but it should be rare for a first year pro player to make the club but I guess that is a gray area too with playing professional in europe.

nice show, https://www.youtube.com/w...=ZPeUzqSyHeI&pbjreload=10

The thing in OJs favor is his competition is Stecher and Hutton

Well you better start learning to sail cause one of EP or Gaudette playing with Canucks and Gadjo on Comets next season is sure looking good.

yep.

that was the issue with JV and McCann, they weren't necessarily ready, but they were better, their skill set showed, than what was above them.

and I guess that is showing with Hutton too, he could have used a bit of seasoning in the AHL

I dont think the entire goal was his fault, the team could have recovered, I just commented that he should have won that foot race. His top speed is fine, but his footspeed is slow which is hurt him there and when he pivots to keep opponents wide on the rush. I hope he plays in North America next year because the wide ice doesnt demand that quickness

Probably why you don't just trade a bunch of players. Otherwise you put yourself into that situation.

They can afford to but probably could get better offers if Sens willing to move EK or AZ OEL.

He motioned up the ice first. First step quickness could be improved. That's (frank) all, do some ladder drills. His lack of tenacity and assertiveness at times annoys me. Somebody should yell at him a few times.

That’s exactly why you give OJ a year in the A unless he dominates preseason.... maybe even then

Its not a lot, but its still something to work on to get to the NHL caliber. I think improvement there will enhance his overall play, and likely eliminate his lack of tenacity and assertiveness. His sluggish feet is probably why he plays a little more conservative, so as to not get burned

Seems extra weight gain and adjusting to new body has effected these aspects of his game. Part of development process for this 19 year old. A year more working on this will do the trick.
