Top picks would be a nice consolation prize for me. This is the first time in years I'm enjoying every game so I'm already happy.
I agree they are overachieving, mostly because of goaltending. That said I do think Sedin's and Eriksson, not necessarily together, have more to give. Granlund and Gagner too. - belcherbd
Thanks Carol nice to see things trending up for future look of Canucks.
Only player over achieving would be DD now. The rest are not underchieving but motoring along in new TG system.
I don't expect the Canucks to make the playoffs. Management's plans seem to have set things up to make the games as relevant as possible as long as possible and not come off as a joke like AZ this season or the Avs last.
The goal is development and rebuild. Agree a top pick is great but development is more important because the new players picked won't work out if the team and its system is broken. |

Thanks Carol,
I wonder how long JV's going to banished to the press box for?
If he's not going to play he should be back in Utica, this isn't helping his development.
Travis Green seems to put a good spin on his status, however I wonder what else may be going on? |

EP with an absolute hammer of a one timer goal from the point today. He could probably outperform edler, mdz, and gagner now in that spot in the PP |

Let's hope the boys don't take these guys lightly even if the kid from the Island get's the start. Time for twins to take it to the 3rd D pairing. if we don't win convincingly, I will be super depressed tomorrow. |

He'll look good with OEL and Keller - Nucker101
It seems like every game dahlin plays, he scores a highlight reel goal or makes an unbelievable play that circulates on the internet. |

Pretty much, plus even the people who watch him play full games say he's amazing so it's not like he's just some young kid who only tries to make flashy plays to wow people. |

He’s been playing RW - which doesn’t bode well for our 1C problem - maybe Gaudette can do it? Either way having EP on the off wing on the PP is gonna be exciting for the future
Now that I discovered onhockey.tv - I’ve been watching a ton of Vaxjo, TPS and Timra games - I even watched Tryamkin/ Automobilist game the other day |

Thanks Carol,
I am little disappointed that Markstrom is back in after that awesome 50 minute performance by Nilsson. I also have to question Green and his lack of development with Virtanen.
I like the fact the team as a whole are greatly overachieving but again how long can they sustain this.
I earlier stated that I thought the Canucks would take over second in the division tonight, but with Markstrom in it will be shaky, even if Vegas starts the WHL goalie |

This.
Green sounds smug and condescending about Virtanen. Markstrom is going to be injured soon from being over-played early in the season. The PP has been a disgrace prior to the last game.
My pom-poms are staying in the attic. |
