Hummmmm, what's the name of this thread???
Oh Yeah, it's the "Atlantic Division Discussion Thread"
The first round playoff match ups are pretty well set, and the First Round Fodder leafs are going to start on the road vs the Bruins, or maybe the Lighting, and after they're eliminated the leaf will be rewarded with a high twenty something first round draft pick.

I try not to think about how dismal his life actually is. He can't even win on a site built on lies. Wait is Doops, Ek? |

You're trying to spin a chirp that was used against the Senators last season in your favour. Yet at the time you held the staunch position that making the playoffs > draft position.
Is this just apathy or are you changing your mind? Are you conceding last season's "success" for the Ottawa Senators? |

he's running from the truth and proving how rattled he is every time he brings up the pathetic deflection. he thinks he can count it as a win if the bruins beat the leafs in the playoffs.
he's just too spazzed out from losing another argument on the internet to understand how transparent the whole thing is to people who aren't completely out of touch with reality. |

Not only that...
Last year, everyone knew the Sens didn't deserve to be a playoff team. Everyone knew that they were given every possible break in the playoffs. We all saw how they fluked their way through.
We looked at their "success" and knew it was a house of cards. Then it all collapsed, just like we knew it would.
EVERYONE except Sens fans saw this coming.
The Leafs are a whole different story. Everyone, except Sens fans, see that the Leafs have a solid organization top to bottom. Win or lose this spring, everyone knows the future is bright. Nobody doubts it.
So much different. So much summer talk from Sens fans... when they have the guts to show up at all. |

Go to the sens thread. Nothing has changed.
Leafs have few good players, but no hope under the cap. Everything is awesome in sensville, going to be back in the playoffs next year.

The "futures" are the 28th pick overall last spring ........... remember, you made a big deal about it. If you look back over previous drafts, you'd have to go to 2006, to recognize a name that was selected 28th overall.
The third pick this coming draft was the price paid to Colorado to take Hammond of Ottawa's books, so well worth the price.
The first pick this coming draft hopefully will be the 31st.......... or another high 20's pick ........... not a "significant price" imo - D0PPELGANGER
I don’t think it’s going to be the 31st pick. |

I think he meant the pick they get for finishing 31st.
He wasn't far off. |

Leafs have a huge lead in standings. May be hard for Sens to run them down. With that kind of lead you have to count on some kind of choke by the Leafs once the season heats up after Christmas. - spatso
lol the sens were eliminated by xmas.

I was only talking about "the futures" (28th last spring, 1st and a 3rd).
The "analysis" you've heard may have be talking about the whole trade(not just the Futures) ..... which included Turris.
Don't you remember badgering Sens fans about "all you won was the 28th pick"??
Now you speak as if that same 28th pick is the biggest building block in the Sens future ................ well, which is it?
The third rounder was a cheap price to get rid of Hammond ............... and next years first should be a low one 25th or higher ...... who knows, does your Crystal ball know?
What would you have done different, if you were faced with a pending UFA, who made it clear during negotiations, that he was not going to sign for the money or term the Senators were going to be able to live with? Trade him at the deadline for practically nothing? Let him play out the season and walk for nothing?
It's easy to criticize, but you have a real hard time looking at the big picture, and or the long run ........... Ottawa has some big contracts coming up, and it's evident as to who they want to keep for the longer term....... and Turris was not on that list. - D0PPELGANGER

Boucher coaches for the one goal game. He believes that the Sens can win in the third period or overtime. I think there is a philosophy behind it. It is hard as a fan to have third period tension in every game. - spatso
well you guys sure solved that. no tension ever. |

if what he is saying is true at all, no wonder they Sens are where they are this season
that is an awful strategy
I suspect though its just another made up narrative spatso creates in his own mind |
