The truth hurts ............. leafs have not won a game in regulation since Dec 28th, when they played the 31st ranked team in the NHL ............ so they could have a chance tonight facing the 29th ranked team, and having a minimum of 50% of the fans behind them in the CTC.

Sens are quit possibly going to pick in the top 5 in this years' draft .................. and the leafs will be rewarded after exiting the first round in 5 games max, with somewhere around the 25th pick in the draft ............ what a great consolation prize!!!

Well one of us has completely changed their perspective as a result of how horrible their team, organization and fanbase is.

He's drunk on delusion. This is the same guy who was so fond of playoff %, point %, standings etc. Like 6 weeks ago...

Someone needs to remind him the sens are losing a first this season or next.

... and Duchene

... and Karlsson.

Or even better they KEEP Karlsson, pay him a fortune for 8 years and watch him poop the bed in his own zone night after night after night...

Once again the leaf trolls are totally obsessed with the inner working of the Senators.

Not one peep about the leafs win tonight ................... it's much more important to the leaf trolls to come on this thread and bad mouth the Sens, and the couple of Sens fans willing to give their perspective on things, from their POV.

Funny how that it is ................. but that's what trolls do.

I said it before, and I'll say it again, these trolls can't go a single day, without trashing the Sens and their fans ................. I know I can go an entire week without even remotely talking about the leafs, in any way, good or bad ..........something none of the leafs can do, in respect with the Senators.

Mark my words, from midnight tonight, nothing leaf related will be posted by me ......... and other the other side, the leaf trolls will continue with their obsessive behavior, because they're leaf trolls, they can't find it within their-selves to post only about the leafs, for even a day, never mind an entire week........... they just can't do it.

But your constant attack of everything Senators just proves how much you're afraid of them, and how they may either keep the leafs from the playoffs, or knock them out of the playoffs.

Ottawa, today, still has the better record than the leafs, so I guess it's normal that it gets under your skin.

It really shows that the leaf trolls are completely rattled by the upgrade the Senators have made with the three way trade ............ they can't stop talking/trashing the Senators ...... and practically never talk about the leafs, or any other teams in the Atlantic division.

So keep it up, it just confirms you're still not sure the leafs will be up to task this season, to get past the Sens.

loving it.

Leafs really needed that come from behind win last night. Sure it was against one of the league's worst teams and probably the worst run franchise the NHL has (until a competent owner moves them to QC) but they'll take what they can get in the midst of such a slump.

Beating the comically pathetic Sens is certainly nothing to hang your hat on. Especially when their sad sack fanbase lets their stadium get taken over multiple times a year when the fans of neighboring teams fill the seats. The only thing sadder than the on ice product in Ottawa are the clowns who call themselves fans of that poop show. But hopefully the Leafs can take the positives from last night and build upon them. Still lots of work to do.

definitely more work to do for sure. things turned around so quick with this team after finishing dead last that its easy to forget how early in the rebuild stage this team is still in.

Very true. After last year's better than expected performance it's easy to forget that the year prior they were dead last in the league. It's great that the team has positive expectations this year but keeping those expectations within the realm of reality is important. This fan base has endured enough terrible years to remain patient while watching the team progress from cellar dweller, to playoff team and hopefully in the coming couple years to contender. Not there yet but still going in the right general direction.

Very true

I think we also forget that it is a very long season, especially for a young team.

I don't think we ice our best lineup all the time, and I see why people criticize the ice time assignments. I don't get on Babcock because I believe he is playing the long game with these things.

Spread the ice time, work on systems and start to peak near the end of the season, heading into the playoffs.

... at least I hope that is the plan.

How does the trade with Colorado work? If Ottawa wins a top three pick it keeps the pick, but if not then Colorado obtains the pick, right?

Wow......the leafs finally won a game in regulation this year. Their last two wins, in regulation were vs the 31st and 29th ranked teams in the NHL.

So since the leafs beat at team in a playoff spot, the Rangers, in regulation on December 23rd...... they've not beaten another team, in regulation, and in a playoff spot since then ............that's pretty much an entire month.

So be happy leaf fans, beating cellar dweller teams in regulation, and you have the go ahead to plan the parade route, as it's clear as the season progresses they're ramping up for an early exit from the the first round.

You can't even be mad at people like this. It's so woefully pathetic that you either have to find humour in the infantile display or feel sorry for the miserable, wretched existence they lead.

Could you imagine how lonely and sad a life someone has to have to dedicate so much time and energy to trolling a rival hockey team's fans? And then when you really have no leg to stand on as far as arguing your own team is better in any way shape or form than the rival you just keep on doing it anyway, despite writing false accusations about rival fans doing that exact same thing? Project much?

If I knew a friend or relative like this I would immediately cut off all ties. If it was a child of mine I would feel that I had failed as a parent in teaching them how to be a decent human being who can actually make a positive contribution to society. And if it was myself I would take a long walk into the wilderness never to return.

Of course in order for that last one to happen you would need the maturity to engage in sincere introspection and a spine in order to have functioning legs. Neither is an issue for this individual.

It comes from being fans, of the lesser of the two Ontario based teams.

trolls do what trolls do, and that is take the low road and bash the team(s) they're still afraid of, at the base level of their insecurity.

just posting this will rile them up, and unleash more rattled responses, only confirming their prime purpose .............

this site is not important to me .................. but it sure is to the leaf trolls.

I'm at the point of pity now. I genuinely think there's legitimate mental health concerns at work here.

It's abnormal to have such a strong desire to see something negative happen to a particular group of people.

This unhealthy fixation with wanting to see others fail has taken a central role in his personal identity.

Not a good situation.

Would be nice to hear a leaf fan talk about their team, once in a while ............... I guess they're just more concerned with how well the Sens are doing in comparison.

I expected 4 of the 5 Atlantic teams playing last night to lose. Buffalo with the surprise OT win on the road and Mrazek with a big game to shut out the Devils.

Vasilevskiy back on his game. Leafs continue to stumble. No surprise with a red hot team coming in, Reilly on IR and Nelson Mandela out for revenge. Sens continue to be the poster franchise for futility.
