the ONLY reason I would ever want to sign Jagr/Vanek is to keep the kids in Utica. Stack the AHL with a winning roster, let them get used to a winning atmosphere, sell off as many of these 1 year UFA contracts at TDL for picks, and let the Canucks flounder a bit. The future is not now, and no amount of youth is going to flip this team around while the Sedins/Edler are still on it. - Codes1087
Would love to see it happen for them. No reason the group of them cant have a great year, dominate and feel confident the next training camp. We talk about how great Dahlen/EP's preexisting chemistry is for the future, make some with the rest of the guys |

I only wish we had more center prospects, so we could have whole lines gaining chemistry like they do in Dtroit/TB/LA to really ramp up chemistry early in their career. Examples: Pearson/Taffoli; Kuch/johnson/Palat(what a line) |

we need to put an end to the poms poms and stop dreaming. This team is not good. - Codes1087
Well said Codes...finally.
And by the way, your post before this one, if you read back to the page you posted the post I'm referring to. Bo is not even a second line centre caliber player...yet. |

Not really lol..rather keep the youth in the AHL and let them light it up and gain some confidence instead of getting lit up every night in the NHL. Goldobin probably feels he should be on the team and I'm sure Boeser has his eyes set on a spot as well but I'd rather let them join JV in the AHL and hopefully Utica actually scores some goals this season.
Let the 4th line + Gudbranson/Pedan run around late in blowout losses - Nucker101

Do you not recognize that this comes off as a troll statement with a condescending stance? We are here to discuss hockey mainly or other interests. I moved on. But will give you another chance. If you are fair minded then talk about the points in the posts. We can agree or disagree and move on to the next topic. That's fine. Okay. |

If he can figure out a way to not burnout by the second half of the season, he will be. IMO it's just a conditioning thing and he will break 60 pts this year, stay solid in the dot and emerge as a legit 2c |

You guys are really giving Don a hard time, you better lay off.
And by the way I'm not referring to yours or Codes post before this one, but if you read the quote referenced in the post you had responded to in you last post you will see clearly I am refer to "pom pom" etc.

pot calling the kettle.... well... nvm..
You asked a question, I answered. You asked who our first line is now, I said we don't have one. If a 1st line center doesn't produce at a 1st line center level, is he really a first line center? If a first line winger is producing at a rate of a 3rd line winger, is he really a first line winger?
AND BTW - you will never find anyone MORE realistic about this dogpoop roster than me. I am not hear to wave any pom poms, and lather a fat pig in lipstick and call her babe. - Codes1087

Part three on post topic solution for this losing team to move on from Sedins.
Establishing a 1st & 2nd line marginalizes Sedins to 3rd line mentoring status of reclamation or prospect players. Yes the team is still a loser but it opens up spots and opportunities.
The above makes it more within reach for elite rookies to replace marginalized Sedins. They don't have to be ready for top 6 roles to make NHL. They can be eased in with sheltered bottom six minutes. Not with traditional roles of grit and checking. But holding own defensively to develop their offense not against the oppositions top players.
If EP, Gaudette, Dahlen and others are given a look toward end of season they could prove ready for NHL competition. But sheltered to develop by players who have taken over the top six ice time.
The team still sucks but turns a page toward rebuild away from old and slow.
Note to Lefty, Vantel and others on the RetireSedintrain. If you read back the responses they seem to advocate an extension for the Sedins because the team sucks. Maybe you can add to the posts I made made with better solutions. But this is the lemonade offered on moving on from Sedins. |

You know there is a "Write Blog" option in the Control Panel where you can write these essays and then people can comment on it, right? |

You often write long pieces to posts. This is spread out. Plus ending note. Notice how the first one several pages ago sparked debate to a dead thread. Why cater to the negative nellies who just slant BS and nothing real to discuss. |

I do, but I dont have a running series of independent posts. They are usually responses in conversations
I laughed at the "part 3" heading only, FYI. Depending on the length, I would probably read/skim a blog post if the link was available... just was pointing out that is an option |

Really looking forward to the hysteria when the details of Horvat's contract are released. It should spark a freak out or two. |
