If JV expected a spot he was sorely mistaken & showed his immaturity.
As for Utica he learned more how to be a pro but has yet to show he did enough.
Would 't be surprised at all if he is Utica for 1-2 more years. Thats humbling 😂 - Nighthawk
Not like he had much to work with in Utica though.
I haven't given up on Virtanen by any means. If green liked what he seen from Jake at the end of the season in Utica I figure it would be enough to get him in the lineup . We have next to no physicality in our lineup. Gudbransson Sutter , Gaunce and Horvat are the only players that hit
Almost half the people last season didn't believe Burrows for the value of a second.
The same people were saying that Hansen was worth no more then a 3rd. Yet a late 1st prospect and a 4th.
I'm not talking that these guys are mid first's. I'm talking a trade deadline from a team that's probably in the top 10 at that time. - manvanfan
This makes sense. Often when a fan doesn't like a player they undervalue them. Trades at TDL can have an inflation with time limit opportunity. GM's pay for insurance for depth or attempts to improve that out weigh perceived values.

Or less than nothing lol
I to have not given up on him.
JV gets nothin given to him.
We want physicality its a dime a dozen out there.

I agree that he shouldn't be given a spot without earning it.
But I would rather his upside over Dorsett on the fourth line(if recovered from neck injury)
I've gone on far too long on Sven but to end it I'd say Rodin or Boucher would be more than capable replacements for him in the event of injury or being sat or traded.
Prospects like Goblin would be more than likely as good or better as well. When Sven's RFA contract comes up it will be hardball on JB's end of it given idk if he Sven ever can hit the 25+ goal level to command more.

His upside is all still in the world of potential only.
It guarantees him nothing til he forces his way into the line-up.
If he has a healthy season with 20+ goals his value will be there for top 10 teams who don't mind parting with their draft picks for a run at th Cup. - Nuck4U
If he hits 20 before the trade deadline. JB will probably throw too much money at him for too long.
I'd guess Sven easily traded if JB gets a good offer.
As for extensions Granny is more valuable & Sven gets a short term budget conscious contract. All he is likely to deserve given he is nothing special nor holds any power to command more. - Nighthawk
Your first line sort of clashes with last line. So not following. Anyway, if Sven has a good season he will be able to command value. Even if you don't like him as a player. I'm just being realistic that points get noticed. That carries trade and contract leverage.

Why & what team would trade a 1st for a middle 6 1 dimensional small player?
I would take that in a heart beat but not gonna hold my breath lol
I spitball far too much already as it is 😜

Would take 25 goals & 25 assists to garner leverage.
He is a compliment winger & gives nothing else to date.
As for I don't like him those r your words not mine.
Again idk how some ppl put words in my mouth.
I gave my reasons on why he is not in huge demand.

Why I said previously it will be interesting. Maybe should edit the Sven part on TDL to be on pace for 20+. But it's all part of needs of others and what you want to keep or move.

JB traded 33oa for him no? Pretty much a first lol

If he has a 20 plus why are they trading him? In hopes of finding a 20 + scorer?
