I've looked for a player like that. Best I could really find was player traded in the off season.

Lars Eller, Andrew Shaw both were traded for 2-2nds. Not same type of player.

Tomas Jurco with no points traded for a 3rd.

Teuvo Teravainen w/ Bickell for a 2nd and 3rd. Again during the summer.

A 3C for a 3C. Bonino when Kesler had us over a barrel.

Bonino was 2 line on Canucks , same as Sven would be a 3 rd liner on a good team

You really over value Sven and Sutter . Neither one is worth a first.

The same people were saying that Hansen was worth no more then a 3rd. Yet a late 1st prospect and a 4th.

I'm not talking that these guys are mid first's. I'm talking a trade deadline from a team that's probably in the top 10 at that time.

I am not going to go on and on about this but there is no way in hell 17 Goal Sven is not worth a first. If you believe he is then you are entitled to your opinion ( As wrong as it is )

Maybe Green would try Virtanen with Bo and Boeser. Both have great shots and would give Horvat options. Providing both Boeser and Virtanen earn their spots

2 proven vets who can play up n down the line-up is better than a middle 6 1 dimensional scorer who is small & plays small. Not a PK player either.

I'd guess Sven easily traded if JB gets a good offer.
As for extensions Granny is more valuable & Sven gets a short term budget conscious contract. All he is likely to deserve given he is nothing special nor holds any power to command more.

Both players 6'5 Sven 5'10

People that suggest Sutter for a first should not be knocking other posters proposals

If JV expected a spot he was sorely mistaken & showed his immaturity.
As for Utica he learned more how to be a pro but has yet to show he did enough.
Would 't be surprised at all if he is Utica for 1-2 more years. Thats humbling 😂
