The signing is going to look horrible by November.. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Yeah you're right, we should have signed Stamkos for $9 million per for seven years so he could teach the rookies how play really well for a couple of weeks and then be injured for the rest of the year. |

If the Leafs are in the playoff mix come the deadline though (and they should be) is anyone going to want to trade Bozak? Or JVR? It's easy to talk about asset management in July but how many people would really have the stomach for trading away important pieces right before a playoff run? I don't see it. - Jeffmt
Except I dont expect JVR to be here in Oct let alone TDL.
Hopefully we get a good D without trading him...I guess there's still stupid GM's out there.

Benning will do well to make an 'analytics trade' with the leafs. After all, Dubas should be able to point him in the direction of some really good analytics players on the Marlies. |

at this point I think I like this lineup the best:
Marleau-Matthews-Nylander
JVR-Bozak-Marner
Hyman-Kadri-Brown
Martin-Moore-Komarov

After which the Canucks will finish second last overall and lose the draft lottery, pick 5th, go off the board and pick a player that has no hope to be in the NHL for at least 3 seasons.

Well Chabot is the best player outside of the NHL remember? Their drafting is
IN-SANE.
Hell Chabot might even become the best player IN the NHL after he's pairing with Karlsson next season.... the most dominating duo right now.... or ever? - Scabeh
