I'm hoping 2 to 3 year bridge. Or coots contract
- Tfaehner

3 years was never an option. It would have made him a 27 year old UFA.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of the deal. The money is OK but the length I take exception with because he's had two full seasons in the NHL. In his second season, his offense and overall play dropped off. He's never been a great defender to begin with but if he ever loses his offense, this deal might be tough to move in three seasons for example.

And by the time he needs a new deal the owners will have locked the players out long enough to get a new CBA with a shorter max contract length.

My issue is at his current state we are hoping he turns into Mark streit a guy we loathed on the ice. And he hasn't shown that his skating has come back since his injury. It's risky but het at worst it's MacDonald 2.0 right ?

WTF are you talking about? Streit was 37-38 before he slowed down, and Ghost was skating as good as ever by the end of the season.

Don't sweat it. If Hextall can move Luke Schenn he can move anyone.

Oh, if Hextall can move a pending UFA, he can do anything. Gotcha! Good to know.

There was never a point where MacDonald was good, so signing him to a big deal was never going to be good.

Nice contract for Ghost, wish we could get Trouba for that, sadly to get him to stay in Winnipeg it will probably have to worth 2 million more per season

You nailed it. Again, Ghost's offense tailed off this season. Ghost was sat twice for a couple games because he wasn't putting in the work defensively. If Ghost doesn't provide offense, he's basically useless.

As opposed to your boy Luke who is just plain useless.

Stupid Hextall letting him go just to sign lesser player like Gudas and Ghost.

You all need to go take a look at the Flyers Facebook page to see how much our fellow fans are female doging over this deal.

The majority of the fan base here is absolutely insufferable.
