As long as players can individually chose whether or not they go to the Olympics there really is no issue. The NHL doesn't have to officially participate and the players who really care about repping their countries can go. The problem arises when an owner prevents a player from representing their country out of fear of losing a few bucks. I suppose the players could always tank whatever games they are forced to play during the 2 weeks of the Olympics...

Samsung phones are pretty decent, though they were a lot more cutting edge when the S3 came out, really affected the future of smartphones. Now they're turning into Apple, selling overpriced minor updates every year.

I put myself in WD's position.
Idc what time of the season it is if a player is a floater he does not play.
Every player its FIFO. Don't like it then off to Utica it is. This play someone just to play them goes against all thongs about being a pro. Anyone can be sat if not giving 100% & this should go for Daniel also.

I disagree. Players sign a professional contract with their team.
There is no option to take a leave of absence. Honour the contract or don't sign one.

Exactly. I bet the greedy MFers look at the european soccer leagues that dont shut down and send players away for international games and think that its a genius ploy to grow the game with zero expenses and responsibility.

Yeah it might go that way. It's all about money.

If it goes down like that then the NHL should not penalize the players who want to go. That the owners let thier players go without repercussions. Insurance handling injuries might be complicated. Need to bind it to existing contracts.

I don't mind it for Nucks. If lucky they get rid of the Sedins for a couple weeks. They get used to it and agree to a trade before TDL.

They need to retire next year.

JV got his wee wee whacked & sent down to get his game together & so far Goldy is nothing more than an audition that his points from the AHL has not translated into offence in the NHL. He is invisible and a liability. Many players have washed out under the same results.
