Interesting that Canucks dont want Juolevi to try out some pro games on a ATO. For the record I like the pick long term, so this isnt whining about his selection, and I understand them wanting him to get a longer offseason of training in. I believe the NHL wants that to happen. They dont have to shut down, pay for insurance/travel, alter or condense the schedule; but they get the benefits of any good moment that happens in the tournament

NHL games have priority. Canada once before boycotted international hockey before & idc for a long season disrupted by the Olympic break & any injuries that happen.

My understanding is that NHL and IOC were beefing over $ and insurance and the NHL said they are out if IOC won't budge.

I think the IOC would love to get as many big names as possible.
