An excerpt quoting Goldy...

“It’s going to be a real interesting game — especially for me with a lot of emotions — and I have to bring a lot of energy,” he said of Tuesday’s matchup. “I just want to score a goal so they (Sharks) know that I’m a good player. They have a lot of vets, so it was hard to make that team.”

Bring a lot of energy doesn't touch on what that means.
A lot of emotions cuz he could not crack the line up? Wtf lol
Goes on to a score a goal as if thats all there is to making the team.
A lot of vets & youth in his way to make the team? Duh its not t-ball.
So far I'd say he has to be spoon fed almost everything & WD isn't a babysitter.

I'll cut him some slack on the language barrier & change of culture for a lil while but i will focus on him in games & see what this energy he speaks of is.

Thanks Codes. Well it's PR turnaround time. Goldy has been a little lost out there the few minutes we've seen him. Had some wiffs too.

Instead of a break down from WD to help his game. Goldy gets the cold shoulder. Work harder and show a fire kid. Sutter wants him to grind and hit the corners. Okay then guess he'll halve to earn respect by sacrificing his body. Screw dancing and dangling with the puck. He wants to score but that's not what they want to see. Get your nose dirty son.

Tomorrow will be interesting. Glad Miller talked to him. May ease his frustration so he can have confidence that he can play at this level. Then he won't look lost and show his stuff. Even hit the corners hard looking gritty and all.

How do you know WD is giving him the cold shoulder? Maybe Willie is getting all these other players to talk to Goldy because he's not listening to Willie.

All players need to play with some edge, the 3 best in the world do (Crosby, McDavid & Ovechkin), so why shouldn't Goldilocks be expected to on this super soft Charmin team?

I don't. Assumed by the scratch and work harder comments by WD.

Maybe this will all work. We all can agree the Canucks need it too.

Ryan Miller on Goldobin: "I just thought he looked good today and he looked like he needed somebody to tell him he was good."

Does kindof sound like Willie is giving him the old cold shoulder.
Alternatively, this Sutter quote is pretty great:

Sutter on Goldobin: "Get the puck to go into corners & hard areas. To do that, you have to have grit and balls and he has to find that."

Sounds like the team is after him to grow a set of Alphas

Sounds like Willie has spelled it out to him what to do.
Cold shoulder is more like get it got it now go do it.
Plain & simple enough. Maybe we need a Russian coach for it to sink in?

Agreed, If WD did his job properly at this point he would play the kids. End of season go through videos of things they did well, and poorly and tell them what they need to work on if they want a shot at roster next season. Give them something to work on and let them know there are no guarantee's. AHL is an option for a lot of them.

its gotta be one hell of a piss off for JB to go acquire new scoring talent only for WD to not even play them...

He does for sure..but he usually ends on his ass against anyone who's 200+ lbs

But he's not someone who I'd classify as gritty, (frank)ing Granlund goes to the tough areas and I'm not about to classify him as gritty.

I agree with Sutter that Goldobin needs to go to the high danger areas...his game will never be about cycling, but I'd like to see him try to cut to the net off the rush and spend more time in front of the net and/or slot when he doesn't have the puck.

So you are saying he isn't a beta or an alpha? Why the (frank) can't Sutter gain 10 pounds?

Guess they want him to do more of what Sven and Granlund did to get goals or have an impact.

Goldy probably gets accused of floating cause he's often looking for the sweet spot to be open for a turnover. Instead of pressuring one himself or taking whacks up against D protecting their area.

That's the play away from the puck they want him to change. Less opportunistic and more hounding.

I'm guessing it's going to take a different coach than WD to bring that out of him.

Remember before the last game WD had already decided about Goldy. He had him practicing as the extra forward. He could have taken Biega out. Didn't have to be the savior Megna. Now it seems after TL said they expect Goldy in the next game there is a change at practice.

But that's cause Biega may be needed at D. Sbisa is hurt and game time decision. Megna is on 4th line now. Expect a super short leash on Goldy with Sutter line. If he doesn't come out looking like he's firing on all cylinders Megna is up there again.

Though that Molino kid looks good so far. Not sure why WD doesn't try him in Chaput's spot. We all know what Chappy has done. Nothing, nada, zilch.

Its better i state who the real players r ok
BO BB Granlund Sven Sutter Tanev LE EG DD.
Edler is in the twilight of his career.
Boucher is working on his game just fine.
Rodin is useless peanut brittle.
Biega is playing cuz he gives a crap & busts his ass for an AHLer who should be in the minors if anyone could force him down there.
Daniel sux & should get the press box & smarten up.
Hank is fine & not his problem Daniel drags him down. He still has game.
Megna busts his ass & not his fault others cannot do the same.
Chaput does his best & is on the team cuz of depth issues.
I could go on n on but i've even bored myself 😜😂
