but if we shut them down we might win. Play the Sedin's and Magme 30 minutes on Thursday

You might be right. Though it's more futility either way. The lotto draft is all about luck. These weighted odds are meaningless really in bottom 5. NJ won't win another game and take 29. Nucks hold the tie breaker over Yotes and so will stay in 27th.

He's big, has the tools and the hockey sense. I'd be happy with a guy like that. High ceiling, low floor. I find that in most drafts I follow (NHL/NFL) people try to find reasons not to draft the best guy, except certain years like McDavid/Luck.

If we draft 1st or he's there, you draft him.

Whoever drafts Patrick will really enjoy his contributions for 25 - 30 games per year

I love JPats comments on the last pre game show,

"Megma is the Sedins training wheels. They are not there to mentor him . He is there

to stop them from falling. This is what it has come down to"

I've been saying since November that Nico will go first. I still feel confident there will be some surprises.

Lindros was brittle too. No, i'm not saying he's Lindros.

You just deal with the injuries when he's the top player available.

Skating and playing with the puck at high speed is becoming more important then size and strength. NHL Rule changes and trends are pointing more to it.

Watch the next crack down be on stick infractions to the hands. Then look out the stickhandling speed demons will break out more.

Maybe why JB is bringing in so much talent with that skill game. Watch he goes for that in the draft.

Even without the injuries I would still prefer Nico. For a young guy to experience so many significant injuries at such a young age is a huge red flag. Especially as he has problems with his groin and hips.

Don't they attribute his groin to his abdominal issues? He had surgery last year.

Regardless, he's my choice. I think he'll be a horse.

This makes no sense. It is common knowledge(not for you apparently) that it is easier for people to find and point out your flaws, than it is for you to do it to yourself.
- Retinalz

True but after one time its on the player.
Ppl who don't listen don't learn.
I doubt Goldy has not been told what he has to work on.
Care to challenge my assumption?

My problem is who on the Canucks go & win back the puck?
U gotta have or get the puck to let any chance talent can score.

I believe in balance in the lineup. Just talking about trends and skill sets that seem to be winning out with this changing game. So in draft maybe JB picks a guy with better speed and stick handling over a guy who's bigger and stronger with his higher draft picks.

Too vague without any meat to that statement...
Too much left to be desired & no clue what all this hypothetical theoretical stuff means. No definition of what this balance is or how its applied to the players we have now nor what players we need.

Sorry, short statements can't flesh out all you want to know.

As for balance it's the type of players. Like the talent they bring in size, speed, aggressiveness, scoring, playmaking, checking and hitting.

One key difference is that none of his injuries have been concussions. I do agree, just playing the old devil's advocate.
