Or - Gov't helping people. (unless you are undocumented). This too will be broken if the Gov't gets involved. |

I'm still confused as to what they were actually demanding...and what they actually got. More funding allocation? |

I'm very confused as to how the Kings are projected 93 points when they currently have 77. Are they projected to win every game until the end of the season, or is something wrong there? |

Eklund knows these predictions make no sense and has been riddled with obvious errors throughout since day 1.
theory 1: he realized he can get more traffic, views and comments by being a moron. lets call this the "tanner effect".
theory 2: he is upset that his wife wasted a bunch of money on some random useless phd and wants to publicly humiliate her by publicizing her garbage work. lets call this the "divorce effect". |

Somehow they still manage to finish with fewer losses in the projections (31) then they already have (32) too. |

It's not about gender equality it's about generation of revenue which women's hockey is about the equivalent to the WNBA. |

They're actually projected to win a game that they've already lost. Ek has them projected to end the season with 31 losses while they already have 32 |

Yes, they'll go 7-0-2 over their final 8 games with the league taking away 1 loss out of pity.
Ek - pull your head out, dude! If you're going to make a projections chart, at least put a little effort into it and show some respect to teams that are a little more deserving of it! Not sure what this fantasy realm you're living with L.A. is all about, but it's just as bad to project the Flames and Oilers to each only put up 4 points to close out the season. Both teams have shown to be pretty formidable and worth of some respect!
Never thought I would stand up for the Oilers, but come on! |

Women's hockey being literal whiny female doges. Get more exciting and maybe you can generate some more revenue and in turn get paid more. Nah. Lets just complain. |

Maybe EK can teach the Leafs how to win back some of those overtime losses |

Well done. That'd be like me sticking up for the Senators...I feel sick just thinking about it. |

Not to sound like a total chauvinist, but isnt the pay scale a bit skewed? I mean, the men play in a league that draws hundreded of millions of dollars. Furthermore, the insurance for the men has to be through the roof being that they are under contract in the NHL. They make their respective teams millions. I always assumed thats why the women didnt make as much, because they didnt generate as much. Is that wrong?> |

As Senators committed to gender equity...
Wait... This isn't 'gender equality'. In fact, it's the exact opposite.
If this was a men's team with the exact same popularity - they wouldn't be getting paid! At all. They wouldn't be getting any more than the bare minimum in resources either. The ONLY reason everyone's pushing for this team to get paid is because of their gender. That's sexism, not equality. |

It's not about anything close to pay equity, they're not expecting the millions the men make overall.
The Women's team is asking for enough money to just scrape by while they train to represent their country.

Exactly, and it sets a dangerous precedent.
So now in Canada for example can the Canadian National Baseball association sue and get the same funding and support the Canadian Hockey program? Will that make baseball better in Canada? No. I would likely just make hockey worse. Organizations should be free to distribute resources to their strengths if they see fit. That's why they have leaders and decision makers and not just accountants in charge. Communism doesn't work.
Apologies for the political post and the subsequent outfall.
