Is this the time I have to admit that I was exhausted last night and fell asleep on the couch between periods 2 and 3? My husband couldn't believe it.
I guess even with them winning against the Penguins I know it's just too little too late. - FlyersGrace
I was out with the missus last night, I missed it too. And yeah, it's too little too late. Too many teams to leapfrog and there will be too many 3 point games as well. Needing to make up 6 points and pass 3 teams with 13 games to go would require them to likely go 12-1 and they would still need some help |

Here is an example of how YJ operates.
Me the sky is blue.

Mason starting again tonight. Seems like he's going on the run of 9 in 10 starts that Neuvirth did right before they signed him. Tonight will be 7 out of the last 8. - Feanor
Don't start him -- on rest and coming off 4 straight wins -- in a must-win against the Leafs.
But start him back-to-back against the lowly Devils 1 week later. As always, the logic seems most logically logical. |

Since joining the team 4 years ago, Raffl is one of only 4 forwards with a positive goal differential at even strength. He would be a tough loss for a team looking to improve their 5v5 play next season. - PhillySportsGuy
I think losing Raffl will hurt because we need bodies on LW, if it were any other team he's easily replaceable along with Read. They both have 8 even strength goals this year.

Yeah I mean just waive it and see if he is too expensive to get picked...I think he still would, but who knows - YuenglingJagr
I have to say, I don't think I would to go to an expansion team. but you never know. I mean, I'm sure he wants to play more |

Wayne Simmonds was a second round pick, and was actually taken with the compensatory pick for LA, so he was basically a 3rd round pick.
Therefore, he isn't good since only top-5 picks are good. - jmatchett383
Nuance like yours is far and few between here, and I appreciate it.
However, I'm still waiting on that list of where all #1Cs were drafted in recent years. |

It might depend on where a player is in their career. If it was someone looking for more opportunity, they might get opportunities with the expansion team that they wouldn't get with another team.
Also, the city hosting the expansion team might play a factor. I would think Vegas would be an attractive destination, actually. Supposedly (I've only heard), there are really nice sections of Vegas where people actually live. Plenty of nightlife. |

I doubt he wants to go to an expansion team and I would bet he wants to be a starter...but let's assume that there is no way Pittsburgh gets rid of Murray....there are only 4 options
1) buyout Fleury (gets 2/3rds of his remaining contract)
2) trade Fleury (would have to be protected by another team)
3) convince him to waive his NMC and roll the dice (if he doesnt want to get bought out)
4) convince him to waive his NMC and pittsburgh compensates LV to not take him
his best option is probably 1 and the pens best option is probably 2. If he thinks he can get more money with the buyout and another deal, he holds the leverage in trade talks...unless he just wants to be a nice guy or something |

Sigh, the coach is privy to information that we aren't.
Why must we constantly go through this??

I thought it was actually only an OK episode by the show's standards, even if I still enjoyed watching it a ton. It certainly was more filler-ish than the previous mind-blowing episodes.
But, hey, compared to TWD's filler episodes (read: seasons), it felt like a masterpiece. The style and mood was impeccably feverish and off-kilter as always. |

Yes. But the game against the team right above you in the standings, who you need to leap, is more important than the one against the 3rd worst team in the league.
I honestly don't care because it doesn't matter. The ship has in all likelihood sailed. I just enjoy rolling my eyes at it. |

I don't see a lot happening this summer. No big splashes, at least. I could see another goalie being signed and maybe a dman. It could be the first time in a long, long time that the team carries a decent amount of cap space through the season. - Coleman
Looking through the FA list, I agree...not seeing a need from any of those guys out there...

They're never going to tell us who's real and who isn't.
As much as I anticipate the ending of this season I'm baffled by where they think they can take this in a second season. |
