Time is the biggest factor. we all see where we want to be, but it is going to take a while to get there. Still don't think this market could handle a full on tank. Guys call for it, but the casual fans and revenue will all but disappear since it is already down.

We are in transition, BB in the lineup might help a bit next season, but then you have to wonder if the guys that look like they have taken steps will be around still or not. Sven has to get going. I'm less worried about LE.

- hillbillydeluxe

Yeah Canucks need more development from what they have and the coaching plus systems play then becomes a factor of discussion. A full on tank means you would either get rid of these guys or retard their development by holding them back somehow.

I don't know if the new recruits will fill in that void or make the team better. It is a lotto so placement is up for grabs. We all want great picks no argument there and hey wasn't BB a super pick who wasn't a lotto draft. So it's possible. Development helps too. Place them in a winning systems environment. The only exception is the generational super savior draft pick. Well out of 30 teams you only get a coupe over the decades. So that's not a game plan to tank for is it?

If Donna isnt going to use him in the top 6, Hutton needs to go to the AHL and play defense there until hes good enough to come back and play forward in the NHL. Cant let him rot on the bench like this, unbelievable
- WhiteLie

Similar to Horvat, Hutton needs to learn the defensive side of the game so he needs some 4th line action. My opening faceoff would feature Hutton with Dorset and Skille

As a regular poster on here I am going to give you the best advice ever.

This road trip can be salvaged if we beat the Leafs. Nothing else matters.

If we win then come in here and enjoy your weekend.

If we lose I suggest not returning here for 72 hours including Carol. It will be a zoo.

I can possibly see WD double-shifting Pedan because of his experience as a forward. Not sustainable game in game out though.

I like Stecher better in the middle. Also allows Tryamkin to use his size along the boards.

Same switch for EG & Larsen

Tanev has no offensive instincts. Let Biega center him and Sbisa on the 4th line. Actually no, scratch that. If he's a 4th line role guy then WD would use him in last minute, come from behind situations.

Too bad they keep getting injured, right

You make some great points but I like to roll 4 lines...my 4th line would get as much action as the first. I agree with putting EG along the boards but I would like to have Tree anchored in front of the net for the 3-4 minutes of ice time he will receive

Orders received grand lemming. 72 hours away from hockey buzz I wonder if Ek will give me a partial refund for my season ticket fees while I am away?

I'll pick fights with you when your balls drop which will probably be the next time the Canucks have a winning season. You're such a pig.

I'm wondering if it is just effort? Dorsett works his butt off and WD isn't seeing the same effort from others? It is a bit challenging, but we saw the puck go around the horn without anyone shooting in the dying seconds of that game.

Stecher recalled.

- hillbillydeluxe

and why isnt that being fixed after 2 seasons + behind the bench? Happened back then and its still happening. We need a HC that can change the offensive errors just like Jarvis did for the Defense this season. Clearly it wont be willie, so make room for someone who can / will

Does a 0-0 shoot out win by Burr as the 18th shooter count...?

Should Willie tell the Sedin's to stop passing to each other?

I read Willie's lips once (through the mustache) and basically what I saw him say was "Look here Henrik and Daniel, just pass it between yourselves because the rest of these guys are (frank)ing brutal". Bad advice if you ask me, I would've at least suggested trying to bank it in off of Sutter's shinpads or something

Well Pedan is double-shifting and they're both very tall, so I can see Nik getting more minutes than that simply as a result of confusion.

Standing in front of the net and getting cross-checked is usually a winger's job. After all five defenders break their sticks trying to move him, it would be a bit more difficult for them to get the puck out of their zone.

I am certain that he told them to pass it back and forth until time expired. He simply doesn't understand playoff tactics

So we are never fighting until JB and WD are gone and Aquaman sells the franchise?!
