do you have the factions mixed up? Thought the lemmings were expecting poor results while the circle gang was hoping for the bubble? or I might have it all messed up.

make the Canucks great again. - hillbillydeluxe
It appears to have evolved. Initially it was the Tankers (draft/develop) v.s the Circle Jerks ( those with both hands and mouth firmly placed upon Benning's cock).
Not sure what the Lemmings are lol. |

Circle Jerk = This is a playoff team
Drama Queens = Corrado, Shinkaruk, McCann will be all stars
Lemmings = Vantel is God
Vantel = Queen Jerk of the Drama Circle. - belcherbd
Thanks for the clarification. |

The Sedins deserve way more criticism...they get all of the opportunities and can't produce. Stop (frank)ing over passing |

While accepting the possibility that this team will fall out of contention and end up being a bottom lotto team as plausible many fans do not hope or wish for it. Breedigng an atmosphere of losing or trying to lose usually hampers the road to development. Saviors if found by draft can't overcome this type of dissaray on their own.
Yes bottoming out may be their fate because of thin talent for scoring, systems play, coaching, schedule, injuries and plain bad luck.
Yes the margin for winnig is thin for a rebuilding team. More likely lessons will be learned and losses will mount. But if things go right there is enough to work with on this roster to squeeze out some wins and learn from that too. There aren a lot of players under 24 on the roster and more coming so they need to experience that too.
Will it be enough? Well does anyone really know. Not likely. Either they are hopeful or pessimistic but stating a position is not based on any knowledge. It's conjecture.
Maybe those fans that just want to see this team fail and make fun of everyone else try routing for another team like the Oil or Leafs if that is who they secretly covet being like.
It may make room for posters to discuss the trials and tribulations of a painful rebuild without the vile and bile thrown at each other. |

The sky is not falling, there structure is good just need to bury some chances and once they start going in then you get that swagger and the bounces go your way its he way it is. |

cut back on the coffee.
I have soft hands and a cheery outlook, I hope they win whenever they step on the ice. can we dim the lights and enjoy the game?
Can't believe the pass the Sedins are getting through this slump. I thought they had to be a bubble team with them on the top line. But nobody is producing.
Getting tired of hearing the team has to get younger. they have gotten younger. 24ish and younger- Hutton, Gudbranson, Horvat, JV, Sven, Granlund... and there are more. just an easy line for the talking heads.
The club is still stuck in the win now, develop for the future, it is all going to take time. |

That's what they say if you keep getting chances and don't score. Where as a terrible team just doesn't get chances.
That said this is not a power house team that has any elite scorers or game breakers. It will struggle to score and the team plays a defensive style that limits high quality scoring chances. So if they struggle then it becomes like this a string of losses.
What's not expected is that everyone has fallen into the funk of not finishing off their chances. This will pass it may still not bring wins by they will score. All part of the pains of a rebuild. |

Larsen looks okay in the offensive zone.
In the defensive zone, Larsen is afraid to go below the goal line or anywhere near the boards. I have seen it a few times where he flubs the puck to his d partner in his own end and he is around the goal line with an opponent 10 ft away.
I wouldn't mind seeing Subban get a shot, but I guess they will have to split up Hutton and Guddy to spread out the experience. - hillbillydeluxe

That's why I'm hoping this season will end that win now mindset, it's a shame that it will occur after they signed LE to that boat anchor of a contract. |

I agree the Canucks have got younger, so not disagreeing, just find this interesting: The Canucks are the 11th oldest team, based on average, but they also have the Sedins, Burrows and Miller who are 35+. Apparently only 28 players in the league are over 35, the Canucks have 3 of them |

I was adding to you previous post not placing you in any category.
That said yeah this team is in a funk and doesn't have a lot of fire power to break out of it either.
The team or coach may need to win now but the roster isn't an old veteran laden stagnant team that has no future. Everyone no matter their viewpoint on what this team should do or is doing believes it needs more talent. Which will come from development of what we have, drafting, trading and UFA's.
That said doing all that takes time as you said plus good decisions from coaching and management and a little luck too. |
