Sooooooo......kind of nothing to chat about lately. Leaf game on Saturday should be fun, they take a lot of shots but they stink defensively so the Canucks might score but they'll probably lose 7-3.

Looking at the November schedule I think the tank is gonna start early this year, the only games I see them having a chance is two vs the Coyotes and maybe one against the Wings....but that's why they play the games.
Absolutely correct, it's like they're trying to be Entertainment Tonight, same happened when McDavid broke into the league, I swear if I saw one more "Hey Conner" commercials from Messier I was going strangle the next guy wearing an oilers jersey.

Marner, Matthews & Nylander (18-19-20 yrs old) leading them in scoring and playing some exciting hockey, what a novel idea. At least when they lose the games are watchable.....(frank)in Aquilini's
I hate some to many of WD's decisions, but it is just as frustrating that among the forward group, for the last while, we have lacked grit and scoring- we are seen as one of the easiest teams to play against and can't score. This was the same before hiring of JB and WD.
When AV started here we were a dump a chase team, our forward group improved and we became a possession team. We no longer have that same skill in the lineup and we have gone back to dump and chase. Not sure if we can push the play very much anymore, nobody wants to shoot, don't want to lose possession, keep passing and the offense fizzles.

this is very correct. AV brought that crap in. And its still in the team. Why? Because no one has come in and changed it.....willie wont either. So we need a guy top come in identify these issues and make the changes, instructing players what they wont be doing anymore and what they need to do instead. A new game plan.
Everyone knows the canucks game and its very predictable, any coach worth his beans can pick that apart. And we saw that in the series vs calgary. Time for that to change.
Getting shooters playing in closer with a tighter circle and a net presence is something we need. 2 Forwards need to be ready to grab rebounds off point shots. Be interesting to see if burrows still has the behind the net game he used to, if so he'd be awesome in PP for behind the net setups role. Element of surprise. Forwards are currently only shooting by written invitation brought in by carrier pidgeon.
Jarvis comes in changes the D during the summer. We are now much harder to play against defensively. We need someone to do the same to forwards

Team1040 keeps using this picture of Pierre McGuire on twitter and Facebook. This is the worst picture of him, I can't believe they keep using it. He looks like he's going to be dead in a day. He's not the best looking guy to begin with, but everything here is so wrong.
