Sounds like a Seinfeld episode I watched last night - YuenglingJagr
You watched a show, in syndication nonetheless, about nothing? Sounds about as productive as arguing with MJL |

The line tinkering by Hakstol says he is not satisfied with things. Moving Schenn off the first line to the bottom six during the Detroit game was to bring more of a scoring threat and punch to more then the top six. It did pay off that game.
I have to say moving Schenn back to center the next game makes me a little uncomfortable, given his history here. I think he is better suited to wing.
I also don't love Raffl and Simmonds on the same line.
I think before the season is over there will be many more line combos tried out.
Would like to see Jake and G back together, with TK or Raffl on their LW.
Also I always liked Schenn with Couts, good chemistry there for sure.
I can understand the coach not wanting to break up the Couts line right now as they look great. But I think he may be forced to at some point. |

Going WAAAAAYYY off-topic here, but had this nerd discussion at lunch:
In X-Men: Days of Future Past, an unconscious Wolverine gets picked out of the river by Mystique (disguised as Stryker) at the end. Three decades pass, and Wolverine suddenly wakes up at the mansion with Jean and Scott alive, and apparently he's a professor.
How the hell did he end up at the mansion? How did he (presumably, I haven't seen Apocalypse) have his adamantium? Why did his time-traveling consciousness suddenly decide to show up at that moment?
Sorry, but these are important matters. - jmatchett383
Once the timeline was reset his consciousness snapped back to the moment in the future where it had been ripped from. In the new timeline at the moment he was pushed back in time he's now a prof and Jean and Scott are alive.
With his future consciousness back where it belongs his past self continues to live his life through the reset timeline which still includes the Weapon X program that gave him his adamantium and turned him into a super soldier a la Captain American/Weapon I.
Simple.

I don't mind trying Schenn at center, especially if the other option is Bellemare. I would definitely be okay with Schenn on the same line as coots.
I said earlier as long as the top 9 is those 9 guys I mentioned they can mix and match as needed. |

Well said. Lots of different perspectives to look at lineup and line decisions from. We all have an opinion on it, doesn't mean any are facts. Even though the Couturier line has been the best line game in and game out, Couturier's production isn't where it should be, based on who he has been playing with. He has one assist in 12 games. He needs to pick it up scoring wise, in my opinion. |

really depends on your leagues scoring. Provided its standard yahoo I would say no. The league I play in is scored differently and goalies usually end up scoring a lot. You can stream goalies or find one due to injury |

Couturier is an interesting case.
He's bound to see big minutes because of how good he is defensively. Also there is nobody to really challenge for the 2nd like C or even 3rd line C spot right now.
Couturier is the king of the fluke goals but I do wonder about offensive production. Not sure where I am going with this.

Haven't seen the movies yet but it's probably an alternate timeline. The whole age of apocalypse is confusing. Don't even bother looking into the onslaught story line. |

Just looking at the FA pool, as I think 3rd line center is something the team could really improve.
Hanzal is really the only name to jump out.
Draisaitl is the wet dream, but he is an RFA. |

If moving Schenn to Center is the intended experiment to increase the effectiveness of the bottom 6 I would not be opposed to this.

I get the idea, but I have vivid memories of playing yo yo with Schenn early in his career moving him up and down the whole lineup playing every damn position. He sucked ass at center, and I really hoped they settled on him being a LW'er.
That bottom 6 is going to be a mess no matter what, just have to make due with that they have. Weise to me was supposed to be somewhat of a leader for those guys in the lower lines, waiting to see it. |

Schenn actually looked quite good at Center when he had to fill in for Giroux last year. He wasn't bad in pre season either, especially on a line with Konecny. I would still prefer Cousins in that spot but Hakstol for whatever reason doesn't.
The only way to fully stabilize the bottom 6 is to make a trade or use Couturier as an anchor. I don't necessarily like him being pulled from the top 6 to do that but his game makes a lot more sense there than Schenn's. |

I assumed that the moment he "reappeared" was the moment that he had departed the previous timeline (aka when the Sentinels were attacking).
But the Weapon X thing is more mysterious. If he was pulled from the water in the "new" (reset) timeline, and he awakens during the "new" (reset) timeline, the one where he was found by Mystique instead of Stryker, why did he still undergo Weapon X? Did Mystique hand him over to the project?
Also, in the "new" (reset) timeline, would he have retained all of his memories from both the previous and new timeline? If so, it would suck to know that you'll eventually be replaced by a different version of you. |
