Bill, good morning.
Would you comment on why # 30 got a start last night in the back-to- back game situation? |

After the detroit game I am a little shocked that mason didnt start. I am also more confused on how Weiss was a scratch last night. Was he hurt? |

Glad we won, they played very well and Neuvy was a beast in the shootout. Now if they can just stop giving up at least one terribly soft goal every game, we just might have something here.

Hopefully this resiliency as a team serves them well when it gets to crunch time. |

Yeah, my only fear is that if they keep having to come from behind, it's eventually going to wear on them as the season goes on. As Hitch used to say, much better to be playing with a lead than to be constantly chasing the game. However, overall, this was their best game in a long while. It was nice to see a solid 60 minute effort.

Thought it looked like they were skating in mud for almost the entire third period. Isles tightened up well and took the game over.
13/100 - I liked the even numbers better |

The 3rd period was more evenly played, than the previous two periods, that's for sure. Possibly the Flyers ran out of gas a little.

Giroux was an uncharacteristic 0-5 on D zone draws, and Bellemare was a putrid 1-7 in D zone draws. Bellemare was 37% last season on D zone draws if I remember correctly. |

Showing resilience coming back to get points in a lot of games. We know this isn't sustainable, or the best way to go about winning games. Pretty solid effort last night though. Thought they played a full 60 minutes.
Saturday night will be a bear. Montreal is playing great hockey. Price is otherworldly at the moment. |

Even though Gordon has gotten off to a slow start this season, he is still much better than Bellemare's 35.7% D zone draw percentage.

Glad they won the game as they deserved it. Aside from about 8 minutes in the 3rd, they were the better team overall. But man oh man, that Seidenberg goal may have been the softest goal all year. In the end, they got the win, which is all that matters. |

Time for the Wayne Train ... well you know what he needs to do.
Or maybe coach gets his boy to take one for the team and has him say hi to Carey. |

They got the process and the result.
I think Cappy might be the first coach fired this season |

Can't really argue that to this point. I liked White on the 4th line, he brought some toughness and effort every night .
Let's hopeWiese can put something together.

I mean right out of the shoot Wiese has been suspended, as well as a healthy scratch. Gordon has been injured/healthy scratch. Not going according to plan. |

Matthews, Nylander, and Marner. Leafs making their ineptitude pay dividends. Melrose predicted on ESPN last night that the Leafs would win a Cup in the next 5 years. |
