They got the process and the result.
I think Cappy might be the first coach fired this season - YuenglingJagr

Montreal is playing tonight, maybe Price won't play tomorrow night. - PLindbergh31
Then same goes for Al Montoya. He has been just as good. |

Just saying we can't let either one be comfortable out there. Time to do the hard work and get greasy. |

Matthews, Nylander, and Marner. Leafs making their ineptitude pay dividends. Melrose predicted on ESPN last night that the Leafs would win a Cup in the next 5 years. - PLindbergh31

Haha... I like Melrose. Leafs appear to be on the right track. Not sure I'd bet they'd win a Cup in the next 5 years though. |

They are basically what the Flyers worst case scenario would be over the next 3-4 years. They have a ton of high picks, but almost none of them are contributing in a very meaningful way right now and they risk losing a good player for nothing to expansion.
I wouldnt be surprised if the coach/front office see differently on some things because scratching 2 first round picks for casey cizikas seems a little off |

Jack Capuano always looks like he just woke up from a 3-day bender. |

Love that Konecny followed his shot on the goal. too many players peel off into the corner.
Vintage Giroux on the shootout goal. Plain filthy.
Still think Voracek got his stick on the puck as it hovered on the goal line
that second goal for the isles.....ouch. but otherwise a very good game by Neuvirth, esp in the SO.
with Amac and Gordon out short term its going to be interesting to see what moves are made to get MDZ off LTIR. |

Thought it looked like they were skating in mud for almost the entire third period. Isles tightened up well and took the game over.
13/100 - I liked the even numbers better - YuenglingJagr
the mud was more like that fantastic islanders ice. gotta think they had heavy legs in the third. 4 games in 6 days is rough |

The Gordon and Wiese signings not looking particularly good. - PLindbergh31
Gordon isn't a big deal at all at one yr 950K. Signing Weise for 4 yrs, obviously I hope he starts to contribute more. |

good game, really thought they were going to lose one they deserved to win. This team does come back. I like Raffl on the top line. If they continue to improve, get Del Zotto back could be a pretty interesting season.
The trade dead line will be real interesting. |

On pace for 91 points season |

I feel like the Flyers have been doing good things for several games in a row. Even in the Pitt loss, they owned the puck more. Michal Neuvirth is slowly getting back on track. If they can get Mason going, we should start seeing more wins in regulation.
A good showing against Montreal could really get the parts in motion. Of course, the Flyers somehow made Jaro Halak look like an all-star last night, so I have my doubts Price is sweating their arrival. |

I really don't like the Flyers coverage on the 5 on 3 Taveras goal. They left a 3 on 1 down low. Some kind of miscommunication there. I also think you should go with 2 defenseman there, but I guess they're worried about the lone forward being tossed out of the faceoff circle. |

Even though Gordon has gotten off to a slow start this season, he is still much better than Bellemare's 35.7% D zone draw percentage. - MJL
It just feels like we have three fourth line centers in Bellemare, Gordon and Cousins. Cousins could be left up for debate and deserves the opportunity but in terms of all around balanced game, I like Bellemare better. Nobody would be safe in the bottom six in terms of finding away to fill that spot at third line center. |

Nice to see a win but I was bored most of it. They looked better in terms of cleaning up the turnovers and team D. Just one of those games where no one aside from a nice sauce from Gudas to Konecny stood out. |

If I'm not mistaken the confusion came from knowing a player was leaving the box at that time. With this said I believe we just had a whistle, so yes Hakstol should have been prepared by having D on the ice in advanced.
Edit
I also don't think I've ever seen Giroux used on a three on five before, which might be out of his element.

The condition of the ice did not help flow of play at all.
I thought the clock got turned back to 1996 watching that game. |

You are correct- I mistakenly put wrong number in my calculations.
But sadly, it does not make a difference for the ultimate team outcome |
