I miss the coast, but Ottawa is a beautiful city, and they have me in a nice building across the street from NHQ, gorgeous view of Ottawa River from the 29th floor, but it's lonely. But I'm coming home tomorrow for a week, Mrs Makita is going to get some extra tomorrow night.

I haven't decided whether I want this permanently, I won a competition, but they brought me here on an assignment, I'm determining if this will be a good fit for the next 5 years.

Mrs Makita and I own property in Metchosin that we would never get again if we relocated, so she will maintain the property out west and I'll fly home once a month or she'll fly here.
