Player A is Giroux

Player B is Beauvillier

Giroux drafted 22nd overall, Beauvillier 28th

Not saying having nearly-identical junior stats means that Beauvillier will be as good as Giroux, but it's definitely awesome to see.

Funny all the talk was about Barzal and this kid has been great so far and only playing under 10 minutes a game. It's time to give that line some more ice time

Seems like a lot of injury issues with goaltenders around the league, between ARI missing Smith, Quick out for months in LA, now Rask seems to be at least moderately injured.

Wonder if Snow is shopping someone.

Sorokin named to Team Russia for the Karjala Cup tournament. NYR prosect Shestyorkin is the other goalie.

Anatoly Golyshev is on the team too.

Kulemin started practice, but left. Capuano said he was injured Sunday and is day-to-day

Yeah I'm looking forward to seeing him in NA.

That Golyshev pick was sneaky good, too. He's older and having a bit of a poor season, he was even demoted to the VHL (Russian AHL) for 4 games, but he also plays on a piss-poor team (4th worst in the entire KHL) so I imagine that is at least part of the reason for his bad start. He's signed through the 2018/19 season.

Not sure how it would work, but I wonder if they could fit Barzal into the lineup?

More likely, they'll stick Chimera down there and stick Prince into the lineup. Maybe Beauvillier gets more minutes taking Chimera's spot with Lee/Nelson and Prince can play on the line with Strome/Quine.

I'll be happy if just Sorokin comes over. Can't get too excited about these russians with the isles track record. Sorokin has a different feel then the others

Right now I wouldn't touch that Strome line. I could see Prince taking Kuli's spot on the 4th line if Kuli can't play tomorrow

Yeah he seemed genuinely impressed with the turnout at the Isles rookie scrimmage. I sure hope he makes it over here.

Yeah he's a legit prospect. Could be a solid 2nd pairing dman if he continues to improve.

This was a write-up on him (in May) from DobberProspects:

Observations:

May 2016 - Parker Wotherspoon was a bright spot for Tri-City during the 2015-16 campaign. He improved from nine goals and 42 points in his draft year to 11 goals and 45 assists in 2015-16. The highlight of his year, however, came on March 24, 2016 when he signed an ATO with Bridgeport. He made his professional debut on April 3, 2016. At 18 years, seven months and 10 days old, Wotherspoon became the youngest player to ever suit up for the Sound Tigers. He dressed in six regular season games and recorded his first career professional point on April 17. He also got into two playoff games, adding another assist against the Toronto Marlies. However, the Sound Tigers were swept, ending Wotherspoon’s season. The fact that he received an AHL call-up at 18 years old shows how highly regarded he is within the Islanders’ organization. It would not be surprising to see him sign an entry level contract in the near future. He is a left-handed puck-moving defenseman who should light up the WHL next season. Expect him to be in the conversation to make Team Canada at the 2017 World Juniors. - Brent Craswell

He signed an ATO, don't ask me exactly why you're able to do that but signing an ATO allows you to, essentially, play without breaking any rules.
