No no this is a team on the rise and last year was just a bump in the road...the retool is done so it will be back to buisness...just as the Leafs will make the playoffs and the Oilers will draft 1st overall again after another terrible year

You're simply generalizing from 30 posters on HB, I get it, it's virtually the same thing in leaf land where management hasn't accomplished a damn thing but they're the best thing since sliced bread

Daigle was a bust as a 1st overall pick 1 of the worst ever. That said he did play over 600 NHL games for 6 teams over 11 seasons in the NHL & 5 more to wind his career down in Switzerland earning money we could only dream of for 16 years.

As his sleeping on the beach in retirement doing shots of Pedron with enough money to live the rest of his life in luxury never working another day in his life, I'm sure he's fretting all we have to say about him. Poor kid.

Saying that Benning is loved by all is false and absolutely untrue! That was my point. And yes some people fall in love with everything in front of them, perhaps a sense of false hope from 40 plus years of nothing. It's the same over your way, we're more the same than we are dissimilar.

Oilers should have traded the pick, it was the obvious move.
