I think this proves what many swedes and rangers fans feared. king henrik has hit a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge drop of point. he is done.

maybe. I just hope it is only rust for both players and they play good when the tournament starts.

These meaningless exhibition games mean nothing for the goalies. Lundqvist will play fine once the games matter. If this upcoming NHL season ends and Lundqvist shows a clear drop in his overall performance then maybe these conversations can begin but until then he is still a top 5 goalie in the league and what team wouldn't want him in their net every night?

Pretty much exactly how I feel. Hank over his career has had some pretty slow starts. Hell, the one year he was pulled for a bunch of games in favor of Talbot.

Last year was his best start in a long time, and look how that ended.

As a goaltender who plays pretty deep in his net it'll be interesting to see how Lunqvist plays as he gets older. He might have to change styles a bit at some point. Brodeur mixed in more butterfly and stopped playing with the small pads when he got older. But these are questions for a different day because I think this talk of Hank's demise is grossly exaggerated. I'm guessing he's got 3 all star seasons left. Generally, I think by 37 the decline is noticeable although the top guys can still play.

Yeah, probably going to have to come out a bit. Reflexes start to slow down and thats a bad recipe for playing deep.

I don't know if it will be "all star" but I tend to agree he should probably have about 3 very good seasons before the drop off.

Considering that Chai didn't trade him for Subban, it's unlikely. Chirelli will keep the centre depth

Subban is a great player...so Chia would never acquire him.
