Don't think I can recall a more overhyped prospect in the last decade. Guy will likely turnout to be a left wing version of Tyler Bozak. |

Instead of wasting his time on a guy who likely wants to play elsewhere, GMTM should be out there courting the likes of Pirri and Vrbata, two players who have proven they can score at this level. |

Bozak has had a productive career. Vesey would be lucky to replicate that
Whatever he ends up doing, it certainly won't be with Buffalo

Stan was there watching Chris Calnan, one of his picks who plays at BC.
He's been injured and is now back on the ice.
Just a quick trip to see how he is doing, not there for any other reason.
You have nothing to worry about with Vesey |

How can a team like the Hawks afford Vesey beyond this coming season?
If he is as good as advertised, if you believe the hype, won't they have a similar problem like they did with Panarin this season regarding hitting all of his bonuses, and how that would affect their cap situation? |

Bowman was there scouting Hawk draftee, Chris Calnan. officially.
Unofficially, different story. And there's more to it than meets the eye. |

Good question. But they are "highly" interested in him and (I have heard) he is in them. |

Stan Bowman isn't interested in Vesey, he already knows he's Buffalos. Bowman's there for his own prospect. Do some research! |

Millions of sabres fans???? Anyone else get a chuckle on that one |

why do you think Murray drafting his friend means anything. You do know the Leafs drafted his BROTHER and his FATHER works for them. So logically that would give them the edge. He also is a Boston boy who dreamed of playing with the Bruins. So Garth really stop with these supposed edges Buffalo has. Toronto Has Matthews a host of potential just like the Sabres and Babcock , you remember the guy who was signing with Buffalo last year. |

Have to do it every year, Stan finally starting to get good at it...............................
Someone of the current core will need to go next year to extend Panarin, my bet is Crow at a minimum.
If by some chance Hawks were to get Vesey, and he had a similar situation to Panarin, someone else out of the core would need to be moved, my bet for the second guy would be Kruger.

Trading for Vesey's rights and signing him is such a shot in the dark. I think it's worth the gamble but the chances are pretty low. The kid has spent the last 3-4 years waiting it out until he could be a UFA and you think he's going to sign 6 weeks early? Nope. |

Pirri who barely broke 20 once and has never been considered a scorer and Vrbata who has 259 goals in nearly 1000 games. Exactly what the Sabres need |

I would have preferred to make it a conditional pick (guaranteed 4th/5th with the pick becoming a 3rd if he signs) instead of the guaranteed 3rd rounder. Not sure if Nashville would have done it, but would have been they way I'd go. |

Whammo! That, folks, is what hockey people call lethal chemistry. Jaw dropping like Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith.
What is with your hard-on for Steven Tyler and Aerosmith? |

Buffalo’s roster is in a way better position to win now than that of the Torontos. If this guy wants to win soon and have some fun without being smothered by the Canadian media and not having to spend $1.50 for every US dollar then he will sign the deal and play along side of Jack the Ripper (Feel free to steal that Garth). And the Babcock thing means nothing here, I don’t hear anyone complaining about the job Bylsma is doing so that burn ain’t so hot. Now run down to any corner in downtown TO and get your car windows washed then toss the bums a dime, you surely can’t miss one. |

I believe Vesey will not make a decision until after 8-15 as he has stated. I believe he will sign with Buffalo after he explores all of his options. |

I don't know why people are making such a big deal out of a player who will be the next Curtis Glencross? |

Tanking and losing out on McDavid does though. Right? |
