"
Props to Kevin McLellan for improving his goal differential tear to year from -85 to -42."
not sure who that is.
if one day this turns out to be a purposefully horrible account, i will consider it among the very best trolls ever. |

No one wants those players, considering your offering them in every trade scenario possible.
Can we start a no garth movement? I wish buffalo fans had a real blogger |

Pysyk, Gorges, Ennis and 8th overall for Hall and 4th overall?
Disappointing Garth.
All that murrency could surely land Ovie and Backstrom.

Pysyk is so good he scored one goal and got 10 assists last year and was sent to the minors after being drafted 6 yrs ago.
You sure your not getting enough here garth? Only Taylor hall and the 4th over all for this stud.

If you really want the Oilers #4 pick a trade will need to look like this
To Edmonton
Pysyk
Buffalo #1 8th overall
2 3rd rounders in this years draft
To Buffalo
Maybe Nurse or Reinhart
Edmonton #1 4th overall
I am not sure if Edmonton is frustrated enough with Nurse to trade him but so far it looks like it.
I know that Edmonton wants Pysyk the questions is who defense wise is young and could be a top 4 they can send back in the trade. |

no offence intended, but there is absolutely zero chance they send nurse in a package to acquire pysyk.
and garths proposal of hall and the 4th so that we can get pysyk, ennis and gorges makes me feel embarrassed for him if he actually believes this is a quality deal.
pysyk has some upside no doubt, but the oilers will be looking to add guys of higher caliber if theyre making moves.
nurse, klefbom, sekera and Davidson is actually a really nice core of guys on the left side. but theyre young for the most part and need quality top 4 guys to insulate them. The number of quality players that Garth doesn't know about or hasn't heard of as he stated, is probably infinite. To be completely honest, im not sure pysyk's evrn better than Davidson. And that's not even an insult. Davidson is s beaut. But he's a 4/5 at best probably.
hamonic, brodin, vatanen etc etc. would be the caliber they'll be looking for
just for argument sake, if everyone fell through and they felt they couldn't even sign goligoski or yandle etc and they felt could still get their pick at the 8 spot, maybe they consider pysyk. but theres certainly no nurse or hall involved.
something like;
4th overall and a 3rd rounder
8th and pysyk |

He isn't. I'd say Davidson is a bit better actually, but that may just be because he has developed faster.
That being said I do like Pysyk and want him on the Oil.

Here's an actually equitable trade for those assets:
The 4th and Hall
for
The 8th and Eichel
How you like them apples, Garth? |

The Oilers #4 pick is hard currency. I suspect the Oilers will move it.
If they keep it and take another forward, it puts the development off another year for their team. And if they draft a defenseman he'll likely not be ready to play next year.
So expect big moves from the Oilers for at least 2 defenseman but it won't come via Anaheim. Anaheim isn't going to move one of their best defenseman to a division rival

hes barely holding onto his sanity after this one I bet
Eichel is God. Learn it
You haven't figured out how this works bro,
If you play for the Sabres, you automatically have more value.
So, they give u a bunch off scraps they don't need and u give them your best players
Make sense ? |

I think they'll try and trade it for an established piece, But we can't really assume the market. Maybe there's just not a suitable one for the 4th
In that case, I'd assume a trade down if they think theyvcan get their guy lower. But it's probably nothing more than a minor asset changing hands in that scenario
(Like not even pysyk- 4th overall for 8th and a late 2nd rounder )
As far as Anaheim, edm will chase, and I think there's some truth to the division rival thing u mentioned. but these inter divisional moves are becoming more and more common. Trades are so tough to make nowadays, I think if you manage to find a good match with needs/money etc etc, you just kinda gotta pull the trigger |

Cap strapped teams will be the target me thinks. Who besides Chicago is up against the roof? St. Louis? Rangers? |

St. Loo I think
Not in hell if they allow backes to walk, but still gotta resign Schwartz. Brouwer free agent
edit; u mentioned st.loo. My bad |

If Backes walks I hope Chia can sign him. Oil need more players like him to compete in the Pacific. |

Kevin Bieksa, Simon Despres, Shea Theodore, Josh Manson and Clayton Stoner are the long term guys there.
Perhaps RNH and the fourth overall pick can deliver Fowler and Stoner to Edmonton.
