Streit - Schultz were the 1st pairing dmen at their age. More mobility and skill is needed. Provorov will help. Gotta believe Hexy will be fishing for another dman in free agency. - ravishingone
jason demers would be a nice replacement for streit |

I cant watch those guys.
Honestly think they dislike the Flyers. Criticism is one thing, but they get such joy out of it. - flyer_nutter
Everyone on the radio loathes the Flyers. Well Josh Innes, surprisingly, has become a big fan. But it's definitely ridiculous. I don't even think the beat writers like the team tbh |

Truax as a Flyers fan it comes with the territory. This series did show what they Flyers need to get, to hang with the top teams |

where's the offense coming from? - 2Real
Everyone cries a good team starts with the back end..
That and a run at Stamkos would help |

Who knows how this series turns out of Cooter isn't out... The man just makes everything so much easier for everybody. I was glad to see he improved offensively this year and hope he continues. Give Schenn his money, i would love to see Schenn and Cooter next year together for a full season, i think they have the chemistry and talent to complement each other very well. |

Fans often overrate their team's prospects.
As an Oriole fan, I recall starting to hear sometime around 2007 that a bevy of good starting pitchers were on the way. - MrBuzzcut
The part I don't get is: EVEN IF those prospects pan out, all of them, that D, with these forwards, and the projected development of Couts/Schenn etc, swamped out with the projected decline of Roo, Voracek, Simmonds, is just not a serious contender.
A top 10 team? Quite possibly. But not top 5. |

yes we started at the back end but we still need scoring in front of it at some point which is what you can get through FA coughStamkoscough |

Possible, another righty on the blueline would be nice. I love Schutz's grit, but at this stage of his career he needs to be a 3rd pairing guy. I've believe all year that if the blueline gets upgraded with better skill the scoring will come. The forwards can exit the defensive zone better and gain more speed through the neutral zone. The Caps had that speed a lot more then the Flyers. |

i dunno what couturier's offensive woes would have done for us and neuvirth seemed to contain the caps just fine |

Nahh but size does have to be considered. - flyer_nutter
Yep. Like 5th. After smarts, skill, skating, competitiveness. Drafting a player who is poor in multiple of those but is 6'5" does jack squat. This team needs those attributes a whole lot more. I will be less than thrilled if they choose an inferior player because of "size."
We will see what happens when the big, physical Caps vs. the smaller, speedier Pens. The itsy bitsy teeny weeny Lightning top 9 sure did work last year in the East. Were they hurt because of "size"? |

He's not Streit though. I'd say he's closer to the as-advertised version of AMac. |

you dont think having coots helps? things dont happen in a vacuum dude. even if his line isnt scoring, it helps to alleviate pressure off of other lines. |

I will be very intrigued to see him next October with a non-broken penis.
Demers is a piece for the Cup team though. It's a long term and short term signing. |

Not going to get into a thing as I am still content with how the season went but I do believe Flyers are undersized. |

Couturier, schenn, simmonds, gustaffson, giroux... All young names from back tgen. |
