What's more frustrating? Not making the playoffs? Or making them when you're clearly still going through growing pains?

Hextall has some work cut out for him. We have prospects on the way but our vets look absolutely lost.

They have done a poor job of driving the net or screening holtby.

Washington is light years ahead of us in the talent department but they're beatable with our current crop. Just can't run this PK system the way they are and change up the lousy PP.

Wouldn't hurt if Holtby played worse too.

Bill, after Morin, Sanheim, Provorov, Ghost and perhaps ALt/Hagg/Friedman become regulars. Is this forward corps +Konecny + Lindblom/NAK/Fazleev/Leier/Laughton going to be enough to add up to be a serious contender?

What's alarming is Giroux has been completely invisible. A complete non factor.

Will captain stealth steal the show, when we get back in town?

I can't disagree. The PP is his bread and butter and the league has finally figured it out.

They need Giroux to be the guy in all situations. Not just the PP and I'm not sure if that's just asking too much of him.

The flyers are playing the presidents cup winning team and possibly the Vezina trophy winner not sure what everyone expected. The flyers aren't playing bad just not good enough.

JC mason. Why did you have to do that tonight of all nights.

The flyers are not capable of beating this team in a series. Caps were on cruise control tonight

Milbury is ragging relentlessly on Mason. Mason wasn't great, but, jeez, Milbury, you have some strong opinions for a guy who everyone on Earth agrees is the worst hockey GM in recorded history.

The Caps are the deepest team in the NHL with the best goal scorer and the best goalie. They beat a one-line Flyers team that is gassed from their late-season surge. It's not a tragedy that they lost.

If Milbury hates a player 9 times out of 10 I'll love him. This is one of those 9.

1 goal in six periods. Sure Mike, Mase is the problem.

The score was 4-1 so while that goal svcked it didn't lose the game. Instead Milbury should rag on the flyers powerless play. Have to just have to score 5-3.
