It wasn't always pretty but bottom line they got the win and in regulation. Raffl and Schenn were really impressive. Ghost with a heckuva game as well. That Mason stop on Zetterberg in the 3rd period was the difference. |

Absolutely pumped with how well this team is playing! That Raffl re-signing looked like a steal tonight. Oh and Provorov just took the lead in WHL points for defense-men with Sanheim close behind! |

They had a great first then had to withstand the blow back from Detroit. Credit for the Red Wings for finding that extra gear in the second half of the game, but kudos to the Flyers for hanging in there. They didn't fold under the pressure and Mason responded with a strong game.
Need more of the same tonight. |

Exceptional effort for the home crowd. Wish I could have been in the building for that one. The recent loss: Hawks didn't actually play poorly against the Kings, Quick came up big and LA is playing very well right now (also crushing the Stars last night). That combined with the home/away factor and the Hawks looking for a revengeful rebound makes this potentially an ugly game. That said, the Flyers are playing well themselves. If they pull it off, it I will be impressed to say the least.

Great win last night. It will be interesting to see how they fair against a hungry Hawks team who was crushed last game on home ice. I have a feeling Neuvirth will be seeing a lot of rubber. If he plays well, he should start against Pitt on Saturday |

Watched postgame on CSN last night and actually heard Barkann and Morganti say Mason gave up two weak goals.
Honestly, it's a joke how clueless the local media is on goaltending in hockey, even guys like Morganti who you would think would know better. |

I saw an idiot on facebook say Mason tried to give the game away.
The first goal was the result of Athanasiu blowing by the defense and making a good strong move-similar to Raffl's-to get one past him laterally. Then a bad turnover in the corner leads to a wide open one timer by Pavel Datsyuk from a prime scoring area. The final goal was the result of Gudas failing to tie up Tatar's stick after a rebound on a tough shot.
I think Mason was strong last night. He made several tough stops, only critcism is he had some minor rebound control issues. |

I think AMac has been a positive for this team ( Lord Vadar would be in his glory)
He has chipped in 3 points, blocking shots , and is a solid +5. Seems to be playing very well positional hockey. |

no, he shouldn't start against pittsburgh on Sunday. That is a must win game and playoff game v2.0. Naturally, you start the better goaltender. |

Never read Flyers comments on Facebook.
Also, Datsyuk scores that goal on any goalie 7 out of 10 times. Hanging that on Mason is just silly. |

Not a big Michael Raffl guy but his two goals were easily 2 of the hardest working goals I've seen fro one player. Nice to see him rewarded. |

Great game and I agree with Mase's quote on the fun in watching this team's internal growth. This team has become very exciting to watch and it's great to see the lines clicking and gettin scoring up and down the lines. whether it's the coaching or the locker room leadership, I'm more than satisfied with this team's effort night in and night out. Looking like we are last years Sens to a lesser extreme with a playoff push but seems every year there's a team that gets hot at the right time to make it to playoffs. I hope that team is us. |

Anyone real Jake's quotes before last night's game? The Red Wings should be worried. |

On to the game tonight. I think we need to play real structured tonight and focus on making the safe plays. Chicago's a lot quicker than our guys, so if we play loose like we did in the 2nd last night Chicago will do a better job of taking advantage of it than Detroit. Just my two cents. |

It was in the Red Wings pregame. Friendly joking about how well we're playing without him but the Red Wings should be worried because we're making a push for the playoffs and everyone is watching. |
