Understand that.. But some of these guys have over 200 games played.. Ghost has played a quarter of that. Not denying that in a redraft he would move wayyy up.. Just saying #1 might be a long shot as of now .

#5: Ghost

I think it would be downright wrong if Ghost doesnt win the calder. He's among the top producing dmen in the league, 16 goals so far (just about all lead changing/winning goals), like 5 OT goals, will get 40+ points as a rookie dman. How can't he win it.

They do compliment each other nicely and had some great shifts last night later in the game with keeping the puck in Detroit's zone. I think I'd still with Cousins tho. I think he has an edgier style of game and often seems to get under opponents skin. He's in post whistle scurmishes often I feel. And yeah I don't think we thought we have this issue looking back to earlier in season

If we make the playoffs, he deserves it no question imo. The whole all of his goals have either taken lead or tied game is insane. Crazy to think last night goal was the first to not have that. Damn shame of all years a flyers rookie should win and there's 4 other rookies just as impressive.

That's the problem. The year that Tyler Myers won it, his top competition was Duchesne. Granted, Duchesne is an amazing player, but he's not on the level of Eichel/McDavid/Larkin/Panarin. I think he'll get a nomination for sure, and could win it, but I don't think anyone's a lock at this point.

Nice to see them inprove internally. Team seems to be peaking now. Hopefully they can carry the momentum into the playoffs.

Panarin is going to win it. Regardless of how deserving ghost is. And he definitely is. Panarin will win because... point.. and.. blackhawks... that's reason enough right? Cuz (frank) the fact he's playing.with the lead point scorer in the league... and (frank) 2 way play... and (frank) the fact he's played against true men in the khl for years. This has me fired up, far too early in the morning.
