streit is killing me. and they just play patty cake along the line. too slow in their movement. not much rotation. and they eventually make a mistake and cough up the puck. then they try 5 times to reenter the zone and either dump it or make another miscue in the neutral zone. they've just been absolutely (frank)ing horrendous for several games in a row. that 2nd unit is contributing in a major way.

people poop on white, but that dude gets to the net and has created screens and tips and goals. he's doing a great job. they keep it simple and are getting results.

Yeah, Streit needs off the top unit, he's not getting in done. And White is definitely playing better than I ever expected, gotta give him credit for that. Might have been his PP goal, definitely bounced around before going in.

This is ridiculous. Going of the leaf blog. Unsigned draft picks more than 2 years away from their draft year are protected. I don't understand why. (So just delay signing your picks as long as possible?).

Also why am I required to protect a goalie if I don't have to protect other positions if I don't want to?

gost broke his stick on a shot from the left point and the puck was blocked and turned the other way for a hossa breakaway. he snapped it over the right pad inside the post. just an unlucky play.

got a huge break after to kill a 5 on 3. 2nd penalty was a vdv delay over the glass which he cleared cross ice like 100 feet. just a total (frank) up.

then the 2nd unit got even on a blast from mcdonald at the point with white in front. not sure if he tipped it or not...hard to tell.

vdv then elbowed toewes along the glass. had him lined up for a clean hit but led with the elbow. looked like he clipped his jaw. only got 2. flyers still killing the penalty to start the 2nd.

i'd say they are enormously fortunate to be tied. not a good period for them. 1st line still invisible.
