I was at the game and haven't seen a replay of it, but why wasn't the Detroit dump in that resulted in their 3rd goal called an icing?

I would feel better about this game had Chicago not taken an ass kicking against LA 5-0 last game out.

If they can gut out a win or even get a point tonight it will be epic and they totally deserve a playoff spot.

Anyone know if Pitt and Detroit have harder or easier scheds than us? Too lazy to check...

Jake
Claude
B Schenn
Simmer
Couts
Cousins
Raffl

D
Del Zotto
Radko
Ghost (Not sure if he is exempt, they say 1st and 2nd year pros exempt)
Does that mean 2 year as of 2016? Or going into 2nd pro season example 16-17 season?

I think the only thing relevant is the amount of games and back to backs the flyers have relative to the other teams. No doubt a tougher grind to the end

I think if they make the playoffs Hakstol should and will get some consideration for coach of the year. But he will be behind Trotz who should win and Beaudreau.

I hate to say it but Panarin is ahead of Ghost for rookie of the year. He's a big reason Kane is having the year he is having. Nothing against Ghost I love him. But it is an exceptional class of rookies this season.

Tonight should be interesting. It's a much tougher match up IMO for them then the Red wings. Chicago has 2 legit first lines and a much better top end D then Detroit and Crawford is playing very confidently right now.

Flyers can win but are going to need a near perfect game and some puck luck.

Team has been playing awfully well though. Saturday's game is huge, and I feel a lot better about playing the Pens with Cooter in the lineup.

Bill made the point and it has been pointed out by others (and proven in the box scores) Bottom feeders are no easy task this time of year.

The back to backs will be tough (but the Flyers have 2 good goalies). The road games remaining are the scariest for me. Flyers are a better team at home and they have more road games remaining. Their balanced scoring now should help them

Crawford is a mess lately I believe. Could be darling tonight. Gonna be a tough one for the flyers to get.

good points. I agree on Ghost. I think he could hit 50 + pts with 20 goals and the team make the playoffs, and he'd only be a finalist. Panarin is a lock, and I expect the fact that Ghost hasn't played a full season will be used against him although it should be the reverse.

I worry about their energy level finishing out the 4 in 5. Flyers are very reliant on their consistent high energy forecheck. They're a different team when they can't bring it

Cause its an interesting decision to make and could affect the Flyers depending on what the final specifics are.

It's Pittsburgh. The side of the state most likely to harbor the most meth labs, per capita, in the United States. Anything's possible.

I haven't necessarily heard the "Kane is better this year because of Panarin" theory before, but I'm not sure I put that much stock in it.

Kane was putting up points long before Panarin came along.

I'm more likely to put faith in the theory that Panarin is riding Kane's coattails.

I don't think that is true. They are working together and forming quite a combination.

No I mean actually why. I haven't heard any final thing about expansion. Just the usual speculation. Unless I missed something
