The fact that Justin Bieber makes it into a sports blog is deeply concerning. |

Nice scrap for jake . Looks like he's starting to play his type of game |

I know Jake fought Foresberg but he did show some good hand speed. His next fight scheduled is with Alex Semin |

Good thing about JV fighting is it shows he is willing.
Not saying he intimidates the Ops but good nonetheless.
Team toughness is needed. |

Seems like a few teams come to town underestimating the Canucks. I guess no one has ever heard of Hank and Danny the goons |

UND tied a school record with their 34th win n look to break it.
That all done without Hakstoll at the helm.
Nice on Boesser n his teammates.👍 |

3rd worst home record says volumes n how far off we r.
Winning at home is very key going forward for future playoff runs.
Regular season home wins its make or break to make the playoffs. |

It would be great to see Tryamkin swat a few guys away from in front of our net tommorow! |

Geez, I need to post more.
Bieber... in a blog, Carol, please tell me you aren't a Beliber, I'd seriously start to question your credibility lol.
Nashville was due for a loss, so I don't see this one as significant, nor do I think that we were the better team. I did like that during the last 6-7 minutes, it was extremely hard for the Predators to even enter our zone. Our gap control and back pressure was superb.
One thing I do notice, our passing is the sh!ts, half the time it's into players skates or are too hot to handle or too far ahead to coral which kills our breakouts and entry into the offensive zone. It doesn't help that Tanev is out who (along with Hutton) are our best breakout D (Tanev for that first pass, Hutton for his ability to skate the puck out of our zone).
I still wish we took Colton Sissons instead of Gaunce, it was nice to see him score a goal in his hometown though. He'll never be a star, but he'll be a good two-way 3C and fill in 2C when Fisher and Ribero are done in Nashville. Gaunce I don't see as ever being more than a bottom six winger fill-in.
Tryamkin won't play until probably the weekend, the team is going to want him to have a good week of practice and a chance to get comfortable with the team, the style of play and what systems are in place. Better to give him the best chance possible to have a successful debut and get confidence for next season when he makes the team and plays full-time since that's what looks to be the plan.
I'm not a draftist, I could care less where we end up, if you can't find an NHL player in the first round, then you shouldn't be a GM and your scouting staff should be fired. Any player taken in the top 10 and depending on how deep the draft is, top 15, you should be able to find minimum a top 6 forward or top 4 D or a potential starter in goal. |

Food for thought....
Cannot wait to see LA n the Ducks n how Tree handles them.
Could make for lots of fun n maybe the start of his highlight reels. |

Ur bang on. A GM drafts smart n position is overrated.
JB earns his keep drafing n we expect nothing less.
Getting hung up on a number is nothing to worry on.
Later rounds r where the gems r mined eg Datsyuk
Any GM unearthng gems r worth their weight in gold. |

Cant judge Boeser til hes played a game although I do think he could be a very good player. Not an allstar, but a solid top 6 forward. |

You want to package McCann who is in his first rookie year, and Boeser who is getting Oshie/Toews-like numbers in his ROOKIE season in the NCAA for Sam Reinhart? |

I am not worried about the home record or lack of it.
When we were healthy early in the year we were doing fine and sitting around 10 th spot .
Our young players took about 30 games to find their stride and confidence.
Our D did/does suck ,but is being fixed as we speak.
New Acquisitions like Etem seem to be coming along nice.
We are finally a team that has speed ,experience , youth ,talent and adding some grit.
Accept that this is an off year and we will be back at it next year. |
