2005 ..11 d men were drafted first round. 3 of them became NHL regulars. Again, more often than not they don't pan out.

2005 - 4 forwards became regulars, out of 17 drafted, I guess you forget that there are 4 forward lines for a team and mostly 3 dmen pairings but hey I can't help that you can't get that.

2009 NHL draft. 12 dmen taken first round. 5 are NHL defensemen.
If you read clearly, I said more often than not...
Don't make me bring out pictures and graphs.

2005 NHL draft had 11-12 forwards have solid NHL careers. Wth were you looking at?

I don't have to, last season the Top 50 scoring dmen were drafted in the first round of the draft, simple. Or in other words 50% so you originally said that most top dmen don't come from the first round.

Can't help if you don't understand top scorers or if it helps you the top 50 out of 100 dmen were drafted in the Round 1. Simple fact. Sorry you don't understand the math.

This season...3 of the top 10 scorers for defencemen were drafted in the first round. That means 70% of them were not. Is that math simple enough for you?
