I think the B's are in a really good position to take advantage of the awful start the whole Atlantic (minus mtl) has gotten off to. They're trending up, slowly but surely. If Rask gets really hot at some point I think we're poised to do some damage |

They should be able to get 8 points in the next 5 or 6 games easily. My concern is finding chemistry when the lines are constantly in flux. I don't know why everyone is so down on Miller. He has an awesome career plus/minus. He hits, he blocks shots, and he isn't too slow. What is so great about Trotman, maybe I'm completely blind but I don't get it. |

I'm not sure people think Trotman is so great, but rather would like to see if he has a higher ceiling than K.Miller. I dont think K.Miller is a bad player, but at this point it's clear that he's a solid bottom-pairing guy, maybe a middle-pairing guy on a good day with a good partner to his left.
Maybe Trotman turns out to be better/the same/worse...but this feels like the season to find these things out. |

I think Trotmans a better skater, puck mover and just has higher hockey iq. I feel like Miller is just a product of his freakish athleticism, he doesn't seem to have much natural skill and he's prone to getting caught WAY out of position (like the wings PP goal). I think Miller is what he is (McQuaid Jr) and Trotman has a lot more room to grow. Hes already improved a ton the last few years |

Trotman was playing on the top pair with Chara when Hamilton got injured last season, and he looked pretty good there.
He is a strong kid too. He beat Chara in the pull-up challenge, something a lot of these guys have as a little competition before the season, with 42 I believe. So he has a little beast in him too.
We may lose some of these guys this offseason too, as there contracts are expiring, hence why we can not drop any of them to the AHL. Usually we wouldn't carry so many kids and have them sit watching from upstairs.
Morrow, Trotman, and C. Miller have all played pretty well, they have had a bad game here or there but for the most part they are playing well.
Yet, right now we still have no idea who will be with the team after this season or who is a top four or top pairing D-man. Hell, of the three it's still up in the air who is the better player.
McQuaid and K. Miller are bottom pairing guys that could fill in here and there. Both are also injury prone, especially Quaider. They also turn the puck over just as much or more than the other young guys, but without the skating or stick skill. And they do not have the hockey IQ of any of the the three. |

Thanks guys, I can agree with that. I don't think K. Miller has made a ton of mistakes (like Irwin did constantly, or like Morrow did in October) but I do understand he is older and is what he is.
