I said it over and over, the time to move Vrbata was last summer when he was a 30 goal scorer. No one will give a first for a thirty five year old 12 goal scorer at TDL - VANTEL
Especially when you consider they apparently had no intention of putting him back on the Sedin line this season, could've retooled quickly with a decent young forward while selling high |

Are you suggesting that McCann embellished to draw a major?
He was clearly shaken up by the hit, and got right up and skated to the bench. He wasn't embellishing anything, he took a massive hit and I think took it like a man. - Scooby_Doo
At the end of the day, nobody knows the extent of the injuries that were suffered but the player himself. So while I won't necessarily call him out for embellishing the hit, I think it is absolutely fair to question the intentions of a player while they're down on the ice on their hands and knees only to eventually come back out and finish the game. As i said, this isn't specifically an argument against a Canucks player, it's more of a general take on the trend in the NHL to do everything in your power to draw extra time on the man advantage. Which is the main problem with embellishment in soccer. Part of the reason I love hockey is because they're generally very honest, hardnosed athletes who aren't actors. Hopefully that wasn't the case there, but nobody ever knows but the player himself unfortunately. |

I think he clearly got rocked and was shaking it off. I'm just happy the kid appears to be OK. |

I don't think you watched the game, because if you did, you'd clearly see that McCann was not acting. His reaction was like he took a huge hit, and he got up right away and skated off without a trainer or anything.
Maybe you're trolling, maybe you're not, but you clearly have the wrong opinion on this situation. I get your tone, and I'm trying to appreciate your comments, but it's very difficult. This wasn't Burrows getting hit, this was a kid coming straight from junior, and he handled himself with class. He shouldn't have to apologise for coming back into the game, he was clearly shaken/winded. |

Tootoo is such a punk.
If he was not a minority and playing the victim and race card, people would say he the worst in the league and should be out... but we cannot say that because he is such angel and been through so much. Screw you Tootoo. |

Ryan Miller needs a rest and Willy Desjardin will just keep licking his lips every 5 seconds like he's Elmer Fudd or something. But seriously.. Does he do that all the time..?! It's so distracting I swear... |

Do I celebrate Hannuka and get time off regardless... No.. Or any other religious holiday with beliefs I don't believe in.. No...So ease up on the bigotry if your not Christian but still get the holiday off... Get it! ( ok I'm done now thx ) |

Miller was the exact same way in Buffalo. I knew it would only be a matter of time here with the post game blame. Right or wrong... keep it in the dressing room.

Agreed. It's not like what he said was a revelation, we all have eyeballs and saw what happened and whats been happening. He's just making the pundits' jobs easier. |

I could see JB being more interested in NHL-ready prospects or young NHLers than just all draft picks. Rebuilding on the fly will take some more developed prospects than what you'll find in the 2nd and 3rd rounds - WhiteLie

My thoughts on yesterday...Edler sucks how anyone would rather retain his services over Hamhuis is beyond me. The man can't get out of his own zone, continually turns the puck over, has on several occasions used that drop pass on a power play to totally take momentum away... even Weber looks better.
Higgins scores again...poop, hey stats guys, 2 games he scores 2 games they lose, small sample size, but there's a trend brewing... - Makita
That's interesting you mention stats, what with Edler being second in +/- and having great possession numbers(people equate this to Tanev, but come on folks give the guy some credit). I do love how the fans have turned on Edler, in general and/or Hamhuis. I understand wanting to ship them out for assets, but if the team keeps winning then why bother. Its not like our d-pool is deep... in fact, we have zero NHL defense in the AHL. I know there are probably some people with Biega boners on here, but the guy is average. |

Also, it's worth mentioning, Weber is a complete defensive liability and is not a NHL level D-man either. PP specialist at best. |

True. Markstrom was called up today so hopefully they get him in. Bachman wasn't used for good reason i think, but hopefully Miller gets some rest, he's done really well. WD has got some pretty weird ticks for sure, love how he's doing with the young core though! |

If the coilers get another first overall, I will likely be considered a terrorist under c-51 by the end of 2016. |
