[Removing the possibility of injury, how long does this lineup stay intact? There are three players who haven't seen any ice time yet. Paternity I could see shortly, Byron might be a while, but Tinordi is a total other question. Tinordi and company must be fuming, either he is working his ass off in practices or has given up completely.

if they trade Markov and Subban to let Pateryn and Tinordi play they will get a better return and the team will be better in the long run

this is my honest take on the situation please do not respond to this post

Time to put in Byron and take out Semin.

You don't change a line-up that just made a new NHL record... Don't be a sheep and believe everything the medias are saying.....

I formed my opinion several games ago and has nothing to do with the media. He is doing nothing so far to help out Chucky and Eller. As for your changing lineups, don't wait for things to go wrong to make changes. You have to be proactive and make the changes that is directed to the player responsible. Manage from a position of strength, not weakness.

Like I said in the earlier post, I wish we would have made a move when things were going our way, everyone's value was sky high! Now MB finds himself at a great disadvantage but he must be working the phones. The question is, who should we be targeting? And who is untouchable on this team?

The players I would not move,
Price, PK, Patch, Gally, Chucky.......

I am going to be crucified but never been a fan of Patch. I don't think he will be traded but I personally wouldn;t have him in long term plans.

With that said there are guys like Johanssen, Simmonds, Stamkos, Drouin out there.

I think Montreal needs to acquire a big, tough RWer but a guy who can fill the net with goals and brings character. Simmonds fits that role.

i just fear what it would cost to land him

I hear reports from reputable reporters that Montreal is going hard after Drouin.
I do not know what it would take to acquire but I'd start with a package of:

Tinordi, Scherbak and a pick.

I'm fine with that, but would not replace Scherbak with McCarron. Secondly, we work hard at getting bigger, but we end up smaller.

Drouin is a ridiculously sick talent. His hands are crazy and his vision is nuts. My concern is whether an east west player with creativity can work under Therrien who wants grinding and North South play.

It's his style which i am worried about not what we would give up.

I have seen many highlight videos and must admit that he certainly is EXTREMELY talented. Do,you think he can do the same in the NHL? As for Therien, that's an other story......you can't have a player like this and try to change his style...you have to let him fly.

His style will never change, nor should it. I am sure Drouin will have an impact. The kid has pretty up decent numbers playing 3rd and 4th line minutes. I would like to see what he can do if given the chance. That's what scares me. Even Galchenyuk sees limited ice because of Therrien's system.

Something hast to give, have been in Florida since the beginning of December and have watched as many games as possible. This team is coming apart at the seams! Don't understand how we sit out Fliechman and still play Eller. I would have played Fliechman with Chucky a long time ago. If MB is working the phones, would like to be the fly on the wall.

Blame Therrien. Eller is a really useful player, but he's not an offensive player so why on earth is he playing 2nd line LW? Eller needs to be a shut down center. As simple as that.

Why is DD still seeing ice time more than Galchenyuk. More importantly why is he being used on the PP. He has a grand total of 4 points on the PP despite from what I remember being one of the most utilized players.

Why did Emelin play with a fractured ankle when you know you have 2 bodies in the press box?

The organization had a major coaching issue in both St-Johns as well as Montreal. MB may be buddies here but it's time to pull the plug on this coaching staff because it's not working, as simple as that.

Our kids do not develop in the AHL, their progression is stagnated at the NHL. There was promise but these kids are beng ruined and value depreciated.
