Nothing against this guy Ty right now other then the fact he is a Boston blogger and that is probably where his affiliation lies and oh ya I am with Arty I hate everything to do with Boston sports and their fans. Love the city and the culture but the Mbumholes sports fans I can do without.

Cannot stand that guy, to be honest. He's obnoxious and at a certain point, the character became the broadcaster and made him impossible to listen to.

Ty's always been one of my must-reads, and I have no connection to the Bruins. You're in equally good (if not better) hands with him here. I'll be reading and commenting whenever possible.

Before the summer I never thought Stamkos would go to Leafs. Now im not to sure. Yxerman probably knows how big of a disctraction contract negotiations can be and he surely wanted it done before training camp. Either hes holding out to lower Stam-camps salary demands or he really wants to/not sure yet about going to Toronto.

Retain 2 million in cap.

Yeah but you also lose the 50+ goals he provides each season, and that's excluding the other aspects that make him one of the best players in hockey, such as how he makes players around him better, his leadership qualities, etc.

I know this, but I am correct in saying that everybody else would stay.

I'm praying that we have another Eric Brewer situation but with Matt Carle this year. If he loses his spot to Koekoek or Nesterov hopefully some team will be stupid enough to trade for him. This probably won't happen but a man can dream lol.

Yeah I agree, the cap space we would get would be insane if we let him go. Im not sure myself which situation I would prefer for the Lightning going forward though.
