I don't think nylander player more then 1 game last season in the rookie tourney did he? Nylander didn't have a lights out draft season otherwise he would have went higher and Carolina and Vancouver would never have passed up on him. Nylander past season was unreal though but talking draft seasons idk how anyone can say Nylander draft season was better then Marners.

I think Virtanen will be a very good player. 1st line wing potential. I wouldn't have been unhappy if the Leafs drafted him. That being said I'm happy with the way things shook out. Willie looks like the type of player Shanny and Co. want to hoard.

Excuse me, but Virtanen is a bust. Craig Button (the master of drafting) correctly identified his NHL future as Raffi Torres! Obviously factoring in a coke addiction and a screw loose!

I must say it was really interesting to see that, TSN always has comparables as "Joe Sakic" or "Steve Yzerman" etc. and here is Virtanen a near universally expected top-15 pick and Button puts as a comparable "Raffi Torres."
